As soon as Jackie was sick, I suddenly sobered up. I didn't want to be an irresponsible sister and so I forced myself to get my act together.

Once we got back home, the plan was to sneak back inside and get Jackie back to our room.

The plan was an immediate fail as Katherine stood waiting for us by the doorway. "Hi Katherine!" Jackie drunkly bellowed out as Cole and I tried to hold her up right.

"Where have you guys been?" Katherine asked seriously before gazing down at Cole's attire. I gave him back his jacket to replace the ruined jumper. He had a slither of his chest on show, giving a small preview of his defined abs. Katherine laughed at the put together outfit, "Oh wow that's a look." She then shook her head at us all, "I can't wait to hear this explanation."

We all stood there in silence before Jackie impulsively blurted out, "We went to a party!" She laughed as the rest of us remained serious.

The room felt like it was spinning as I tried to keep myself in the lecture. Katherine granted Danny access to go up to the room but held Cole, Jackie and I back.

Suddenly, George strutted down the stairs "Where have you been? Woah. Woah." He said sternly. Katherine rolled her eyes, "I already did that part."

George joined us at the bottom of the stairs, "Okay, well, have you done the part where they're grounded all weekend yet?"

"Really? I've never been grounded before." Jackie said innocently. Back home, she was always the golden child whilst I was constantly being grounded and restricted from doing anything. It didn't really affect me though, I was just always so grateful for the small bit of attention I got from it...

Cole suddenly stepped in, "Look, I should be the only one that's grounded." He was stopped by Jackie blurting out, "Although I've never actually been drunk before either." She laughed to herself.

"Okay Jackie before you say anything else, I'm just gonna get you upstairs to bed." She began to gently push her up the stairs and beckoned me to come too, "I suppose you're not doing too good yourself too?" She asked me but I blatantly lied, "No I'm okay actually." I said innocently.

I took a long shower and once I returned back to the room, Jackie was fast asleep. I crept downstairs to get a glass of water and on the way down, I happened to collide into Cole.

"Hey." I said kindly but he didn't even offer me a smile. "Are you okay?" I asked and he slowly nodded with little care. "I got you out of being grounded." He said bluntly and I frowned all confused, "What about you and Jackie?" I asked.

He joined the same step I was on, which I assume was so he could look down on me, "I'm still grounded of course." He said sarcastically, "And Jackie is because she got irresponsibly drunk."

I laughed in misbelief of the idea of Jackie being grounded and not me. "Lucky you. Perfect day to bond with Jackie," I gave him a sarcastic smile, "Maybe you can continue that kiss."

He raised his eyebrows at my bitter comment, "Well, maybe you can go kiss Callum again at The Lark party tomorrow..."

I stared at him in disbelief, if only he knew how much it pained me to kiss Callum with the upmost desire for it to be him instead. I was ready right there and then, just inches apart from one another, to express my lust for him.

As I opened my mouth to let the words all pour out, Katherine's hushed voice echoed from the bottom of the staircase, "Just go to sleep, you two." She remained in place until we reluctantly went our separate ways, leaving unspoken words lingering between us.

The morning light woke me up. It was seeping through a crack in the curtains and was the awakening call for a new day.
