24. The end

The sun filtered through the gaps in the woodwork, lighting up the barn with golden rays.

I appreciated the closeness of mine and Cole's bare bodies. We intwined together tightly, to fit onto the couch.

Pulling up the blanket, I attempted to cover my exposed body. I glanced at the, still sleeping, boy next to me. I couldn't help myself as I pulled a hand up to stroke his handsome face.

Suddenly, Alex barged into the barn making me yelp with fear. I scrambled to ensure that he didn't see any of my stark skin.

"What the fuck." He quickly turned away, yelling loud enough to wake Cole.

"What the fuck?" Cole asked with a raspy voice, "What the fuck are you doing barging in here?" He quickly wrapped an arm around me to ensure my body was covered.

"Put some fucking clothes on!" He yelled, not daring to look at us.

I fumbled around, trying to remain covered as well as trying to find my top that was discarded last night.

"Here." Cole placed it onto my head. "Thanks." I giggled at this weird situation.

Once both fully clothed, we remained seated on the couch demanding Alex for the reason he woke us up.

"What did you do to Jackie!?" He yelled, his eyes darting between us both and his breath heavy.

"What do you mean?" I looked at him with a frown, "Is she okay?"

"Is she okay?" He mocked me, "I don't know, I can't ask her whilst she's on a plane to New York!" He held up his phone showing numerous missed calls.

"Excuse me!" I glared at Alex and when my eyes diverted to Cole's, I knew something was up, "What?" I asked his guilty face.

Cole refused to look at me.

"It was you wasn't it." Alex lent forward, gripping onto Cole's vest with rage.

I quickly launched out of my seat and his eyes followed my movement with guilt.

"What did you do!?" I yelled.

Suddenly, I recalled both their fearful looks the night before. I let my eyes sink to the ground, "It was last night, wasn't it?"

My mind flurried with pictures of what could've happened. He could've said something spiteful or hurt her. My mind then diverted to the idea that they got together but I tried to refuse it.

Suddenly Cole spoke up in his raspy voice, confirming my worries.

"I kissed her."

I'm so sorry for leaving it on such a bad note, right as it was getting good but because I mainly follow the storyline of the show, this is how season 1 ended.
