Ever since the news of Will and Haley's wedding, Jackie had driven herself crazy making sure it will be the best yet.

With it being the day before the wedding, Jackie was adamant that she'd tick everything off her list. She even claimed that she didn't have time to talk to me until everything was completed!

I spent all day helping her with her list of jobs. I helped George with baking an array of cupcakes, brownies and cookies- we ended up eating half the mixture before they were even went in the oven. I also made sure all the kids had their outfits ready to go.

Although Jackie got everything done on her original list, she made another for the next day- adding to the cycle of madness.

The next day drew in, bringing an air of excitement and anticipation. Cole was adamant on dropping something of at school and I tried my best to stay out of Jackie's hair.

"Hey will." I sighed as I joined him looking out into the vast distance.

"Evelyn, when you got here what did you think of it?" He asked seriously.

I trailed my eyes along the top of the tall trees and hills, taking in the beautiful surroundings.

"Peaceful." I replied simply. "Honestly, this place is like nowhere on earth." I smiled up at him, "It's special, I think anyone could see that."

He grinned at me like I'd answered a thousand questions for him. Personally, I was just stating the truth about how I felt.

Although being here had brought ups and downs with Cole and the other kids, what I've truly learnt to appreciate is nature. The serenity you'll never experience living in New York.

Unexpectedly, Jackie grabbed me claiming that I was needed in the kitchen. As I was dragged in, I slumped on a seat next to Lee and Nathan.

"Great, now I have you all." Jackie beamed.

"Not for long." Isaac huffed, clambering out of his seat. He was immediately dragged back down by Nathan, "Hey what are you doing? You don't get a pass, we're all roped into this."

After letting them settle, Jackie spoke up again, "Okay so Nathan, you have the music and everything set up, right?" He nodded holding up the playlist on his phone, "I got you!" He skipped out the room to find the speakers.

"And, Alex? You're on meet and great." She tapped her iPad, "You know, show everyone where to go and you'll give them their programs."

He grinned affirmatively, "Absolutely ." Jackie smiled back, "Jim from the print shop is dropping off another box of them in an hour so get ready!"

As he left the room, Jackie came charging towards us "Lee, could you put the covers on the chairs?"

He frowned at her, "covers?"

Jackie quickly replied with a disgruntled face, "Yes, they go on the back of the chairs." She replied like it was obvious.

"Why?" He asked bluntly.
"Because they look nice!" She whined, "they are outside with the table cloths." She suddenly reverted her attention "Isaac-"

He quickly shut her down, "Don't tell me. I'm doing table cloths, right?" She responded with an energetic nod.

As they hustled out the room she slumped on the chair next to me. "What's my role?" I asked patiently.

She sighed, "Believe it or not but I don't have time to check up on everyone so that is your role."

"Great! I can do that." I jumped up, secretly happy that my job wasn't very demanding.

After helping the boys put covers on all the seats and tables, Jackie reappeared, "I've found you a job, please can you put frosting on the cupcakes."

"Yeah I can do that." I smiled, reassuringly. The boys followed me but barely helped, in fact they became an inconvenience.

"You are meant to put frosting first and then sprinkles." Lee complained earning a handful of sprinkles thrown at him by Isaac. "You think that's funny, huh?" Lee said sarcastically.

"Yep very funny, now help me." I laughed.

They didn't listen to me and began to chuck even more sprinkles at each other, I even joined in. Immediately, we stopped as Jackie yelled, "Stop! We don't have time for this."

As we slowly turned around, all our attention turned to the chewed up bouquet of flowers in Albert's, the dogs, mouth.

We followed Jackie outside as she ran laps on the phone to multiple florist. Danny and Cole rocked up, questioning what happened. "Albert ate Hayley's wedding bouquet." Isaac mumbled, trying not to remind Jackie again.

"Does she really need a bouquet?" Lee joked but Jackie took it very seriously.

"I can get some flowers for you." Cole chirped up, quickly silencing Jackie. She stopped to think for a second before moaning again, "From where? What kind of flowers? You know there's a theme?"

"Yes I'm not an idiot, in fact I'll bring Evelyn if you don't trust me." I quickly turned to look at him, "How long will it take?" I asked.

"30 mins, tops." He swung his bag off his back.

"Fine go, be quick." She huffed, her eyes not leaving her iPad.

We galloped through my beautiful fields, our faces evidence of happiness. Every time I looked up, it was a reminder of how pretty this place is.

"Keep up." Coles voice traveled through the wind. I tapped custard slightly to overtake him.

Finally, we made it to this beautiful field of flowers which I'd been to before on one of my runs.

As we tied the horses up I asked, "so how's the wedding speech going."

"Working on it." He huffed, "I don't know why Will picked me though, Danny or Alex would've been better."

"He chose you because he wanted to hear from you." I followed him, "just speak from the heart and you can't go wrong." I smiled reassuringly.

We sat down and I felt a gentle breeze of warmth from the sun. The moment felt perfect amongst the vibrant colours and sweet smells.

"I decided I'm doing summer school." He broke the silence. Quickly, I glanced over to him with a smile, I felt a sudden relief that I wouldn't be alone.

"I spoke to mr Choudry and he told me you were planning on it too." He smiled back.

"I'm so glad that's worked out for you." I didn't drop my gaze. He nodded, "Likewise, Ev." His eyes quickly dropped, "Let's get back to work, we don't have all day!" He grinned.

"I wish we did." I picked another flower, "I could stay here forever." I breathed in the fresh air.

As I handed Cole the bouquet I had gathered, our hands connected and neither pulled away. Our eyes locked accordingly, both holding each other's gaze.

In that moment, our lips collided with passion and force. It was like a scene out of a movie, just us and the horses in the abundance of fields and flowers.

As we both pulled away with a smile, Cole cleared his throat, "We better head back or Jackie's going to kill us."

I nodded agreeably, using his hand to help me up.
