"IF IT ISN'T MELODY CHARLES" Melody groaned at the sound of Bolton Smilie's voice that she just couldn't seem to forget because every time she got close enough he'd just pop up out of nowhere and remind her all over again.

"What is it Bolton?" She smiled as she realised he wasn't alone however he was stood side by side with Paul Langley who responded to her small yet kind gesture she'd sent his way with a short wave in return.

"Just checking in on my favourite gal" Now that joke made Melody almost snort out a laugh in hr amusement as if he didn't have better things to do than bother her as many times a day that he possibly could.

"That's funny, Bolton. Anyways have a good day boys. Nice seeing you, Paul" Bolton threw the boy beside him an annoyed look as if it were Paul's choice for Melody being incredibly nice to him despite the fact he'd hardly spoke a few words to her before.

"What's the matter? Scared your boyfriend won't like it?" Even Paul shot the lad beside him the most confused look ever because he knew no lad that went to Waterloo Road or anywhere else for that matter dared to touch Donte Charles' sister.

"Who, Donte?" Shaking his head Paul tried to tell Bolton that he was being stupid and that he should just leave it be but the Smilie boy motioned for Melody to explain herself on the matter that the two of them were clearly amused by.

"Bolton, she's his sister. His name's Donte Charles" Melody could've laughed at the embarrassed look that etched it's way onto Bolton Smilie's face the moment Paul had dropped the truth bomb on him.

"Later, boys" A giggle left her lips as she turned her back on the boys heading towards the school without looking back at what she presumed would be the two lads conversing about how Paul should've him before he made a fool of himself.

...

"Aren't you supposed to be rotting in the cooler, Charles?" The deputy head and the group of boys he was previously sterny talking to whipped their heads to greet the girl who'd slammed open the door to Lawson's classroom.

"Yeah thanks to you" She spoke as if fire was spitting out from her mouth snarling at the man who had punished her earlier on in the first place.

"Cut the attitude, Melody. And be quick" Bolton couldn't help but be attracted her stubborn attitude from time to time he even found it quite fun when she couldn't help but snap at him because of a little thing he'd done.

"Just getting ma bag, Sir. Have fun with whatever this is. Later, Paxton" She shot a wink at the boy who had a bruised eye just to see if she could get under Bolton's skin a little more than she already had but it proved to have when Bolton scowled at Lee Paxton who wiped his smirk off his face immediately.

"Where were we?" Mr Lawson didn't necessarily dislike the Charles girl it just seemed like she was too used to being able to do whatever she liked, whenever she liked with whoever she liked other than that he was actually quite fond of her intelligence.

...

Lifting her head up when she heard the door creak open she was met with a disturbingly familiar gaze and she rolled her eyes recognising the boy as Bolton Smilie who was instructed to sit down in any seat other than the one next to her.

"The big guy got you too?" She spoke despite the rules of not being able to communicate when they've been sent to the cooler but who was anyone fooling nobody was ever gonna properly follow the rules they'd originally set for her.

"Guess he just want us to spend more time together as well" Bolton had to ruin the moment by using the wrong way to respond to her letting her eyes leave his to turn her body back to the front of the room.

"You two quiet down" The woman sat in the front of the room instructed them sternly giving them both a stare down letting the room fall into the silence it was in before Bolton had shown up to disturb her concentration.

Melody groaned as a ball of paper skillfully landed on top of her notes obviously suggesting she should read whatever was written upon the paper he'd thrown at her.

'I agree with him. Don't you?' He wrote down in his own unique and messy handwriting.

"In your dreams, Smilie" She whispered across the isle of tables to him being able to avoid the attention of the supervisor usually sat at the front staring them down 24/7 but obviously this one didn't get the memo.

"How'd you know that your in my dreams?" He grinned at his own remark but became even more impressed with himself as he noticed the slight tint of red that showed up on her cheeks however she looked away from him so she embarrass herself even more.

This boy was gonna be the death of her.
