CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

I hear Athena walking into my room with my duffel in her hand " hey, thought you'd need you bag." She says as she places the duffel on the bed then hopping on it to.

I walk over " thanks" I says with a smile sitting down next to her " what's up with you?" She asks looking at me with concern.

I shrug " nothing, just can't seem to escape from him." I explain she nods looking at her feet " you had a bad dream huh?" I nod trying to hold back the tears that are fighting to come out.

" ooo Lara." She says as she grabs me and hugs me, I hug her back letting the tears out, " I was so scared Thena" I sob into her neck. She rubs my back hugging my tighter " it's okay your okay know." She says trying to comfort me.

I keep crying " ughh it's like I can't escape him" I start as I pull away first and clean the tears off my eyes, Athena watches and places a hand on my thigh. " even in my dreams he comes and haunts me." I sniffle.

" your just worried he'll find you but he is not important no more." She says rubbing my thigh, I nod in agreement knowing she's right I just have to get him out of my mind for need to fix things so I can leave my past behind me.

" look RJ told me that he's going to meet a friend who owns a club and he said he could bring us with him" she starts " he can get your mind off things." I smile.

" yes we should go it will be fun." She smiles " okay then get changed so we can eat the around like 8:00 pm we leave." I smile and nod and she smiles as well.

She gets up " okay we'll get changed so we can eat!" She says as she walks out the room. I get up with a sigh and open my bag looking through it I I pull out a white lace shirt and my black worn looking jean jacket.

Then I pull out some simple jeans and I put them on. I put a belt to give the fit more taste then I put my black superstars on.

I put my phone in my pocket and walk out my room, as I'm going down the stairs I head RJ call me I walk fasted and get to the living room which I don't see them.

So I walk past it and through the hall with other doors and make my way to the kitchen I walk in and see Athena and RJ sitting down eating eggs and bacon.

" Come eat before I eat it all." RJ says as he stuffs his face with bacon I laugh and sit down. Athena looks so distracted by her phone as she eats that she drops some eggs on her pants " shit" she curses and she places her phone on the table and cleans the egg off.

RJ looks at me with a raised eyebrow and I just shrug sitting down and filling my plate with food.  After cleaning herself Athena goes right back to her phone.

" who you texting?" I ask not being able to hold back my curiosity she looks up at me from her phone " oh... um Jake." She says looking back down and texting him.

I make an o with my mouth like it was obvious, RJ on the other hand looks confused " wait Athen, you have a boyfriend?" He asks playing with his food.

I on the other hand stoped listening and stated eating my food, oh my god this bacon is amazing!

" no, he just my friend." I hear Athena say and I snort which makes both of them look at me. Athena looks at me like if i say something she will slap me and RJ just looks confused. Poor boy.

" Last time I checked he was over your house and meet your family." I say as I take a bite out of my bacon.

She glares at me then puts her phone away in her pocket " he's just a friend." She pushes as she takes a sip of her orange juice.
