Jedi Temple - Coruscant

Hopping off the gunship alongside numerous Coruscant Guard riot troopers, Chief followed them down the long corridors that echoed with alarms and red waring lights. It wasn't long before Chief was stopped by none other than Jedi Master Mace Windu and ordered to report to the Council. Following the Jedi Master down a few corridors before reaching the lift that went up the spire, Chief asked whether this regarded the bombing on the Temple. "No Master Chief, you are being re-assigned to a different mission by the Council directly. Now lets get moving."

Speeding up the elevator in deafening silence, Chief wondered what this new assignment could possibly be and how it could be more important than a bombing that had struck the very building in which they were standing. Albeit, it context of the size of the Temple, the blast was minute at best, only taking out one of the hangars and damaging a few surrounding corridors.

But it was the psychological impact of the blast that sent worries throughout Coruscant. The Jedi Temple was arguably the most difficult place in the Republic to strike, given it being located on the Capital world of the Republic and being home to beings who could sometimes even envision the future. So the fact that someone managed to attack the ancient building was a terrifying thought given the fact that places like the Senate and GAR High Command was located on the same planet.

Entering the circular room once more, Chief saluted Grand Master Yoda before briefly looking around to see who was present. Masters Yoda, Windu, Kenobi, Shaak Ti, and Plo Koon were all there in person whilst the rest attended in hologram form with the exception of Seassee Tin and Adi Gallia, whom were currently in a fierce battle with General Grievous.

"Master Chief, you have been brought before the Council today due to recent events regarding ARC trooper Fives and his attempted assassination of Chancellor Palpatine." Plo Koon started, getting straight down to business as Kenobi continued. "We know that the ARC trooper fled Coruscant after the attempted murder, to which Blue Team went on an unauthorized pursuit to catch him. Only to result in the apparent deaths of the entire team and the destruction of the Spirit of Fire, with the exception of yourself of course. But we scanned for any wreckage outside of Tatooine that resembled a Republic ship and we found none."

"Master Chief, I know for a fact that Fives believed that he uncovered a plot against the Jedi and the Republic as a whole on Kamino. Although I am not accusing you of anything, I highly doubt that you or your men would just force Fives onto a ship in cuffs. Instead, I suspect that you listened to him and potentially bought his story, faking his death along with the rest of Blue Team." Shaak Ti took over with a slight emotional tone coming through her voice, sounding to Chief that she possibly blamed herself for what was happening right now. "So tell me Master Chief, are these suspicions valid? If they are, is Fives and the rest of the clones safe?"

"Ma'am, I can confirm that Blue Team is alive and well. However, ARC trooper Fives' conspiracy would damage the Republic so much if it got out that I tasked the team as a whole to investigate. We want to be a 100% sure about this before bringing it to light, hence why I can not disclose their current location to you." Chief explained, earning nods of approval from Yoda, Kenobi, and Plo Koon. Shaak Ti however was borderline beaming with joy, although she hid it very well.

The rest of the Council however, maintained their stern looks with some shaking their heads in disagreement. They clearly wanted to be kept in the loop regarding the matter, but Master Yoda quickly silenced them with a compromise. "Go to Blue Team you will, to get a status update. Take Shaak Ti with you, you must, for validation."

"Sir, can I have your word that General Ti will not be asked to disclose any information about the operation to the Council besides its validity?" To which the green skinned Jedi nodded his head in affirmation.
