Logan's POV:

The moment I opened my eyes, I wasn't in the inn anymore. I stood amidst seemingly endless hills, beneath an empty sky-a vast void with endless mounds of grass, devoid of trees or noise.

A figure in regal clothing caught my eye in the distance. As I approached, the uneasy feeling from the dream intensified with each step.

One final step before facing the figure, and the overwhelming unease caused me to collapse.

The figure-a woman-was crying?

I opened my eyes to find myself back in the inn. It had been at least two months since I was transported to this world.

Progressing steadily as an adventurer, I now held the rank of D. I could take on D-rank, C-rank, and B-rank quests.

The grind was challenging-slaying monsters and fulfilling requests. I used to opt for the easiest tasks, but now even D-rank quests proved difficult.

The quest 'investigate the fiery hills monster' turned out to be unexpectedly hard, I assumed it involved merely studying the monster species, but the creatures there were too formidable for someone of my skill level.

Despite the difficulty, the quest's pay was lucrative-ranging from 5 gold to 3 platinum coins, the second and third most valuable currencies after adamantium coins.

The mysterious profits of S+ rank adventurers intrigued me. Rumors circulated that they earned a staggering 150 adamantium coins daily. With such wealth, one could buy a hundred houses in the third terrace-the domain of the affluent.

Despite my complaints, I managed to survive for two months, gaining skills through various adventures and quests. Now, as a D-rank adventurer, I could officially venture into dungeons alone!

Who was that woman that appeared in my dreams, really? I shouldn't think too much about it.

I readied myself to go to Luide Til Eventyrere; it was time for another adventure. If I'm going to Aethicus, I need money, so let's get to work!

I arrived at Luide Til Eventyrere. It was much more crowded than on other days. Why are there more people today? Wait, why is the quest board being swarmed?

I got to the front of the quest board and then I noticed it-the singular request: 'Any rank is acceptable, city ruins investigate.

Rewards: all the loot you can get in the ruined city is yours.' So, this was why many people are clamoring to see the quest board, all the loot you'll find in the city ruins will be yours...

Let's take it!

Once I confirmed there were no more bystanders looking to take the quest, I took the flyer and went to the reception.

I rang the bell, and the receptionist was there now. He looked at the flyer.

"Are you sure about this, kid?" The receptionist questioned me. I nodded my head.

"Absolutely, I'm gonna take it," I said.

The receptionist signed and stamped the flyer with 'ongoing' and wished me good luck.
