It was past midday, and the Baileys sadly had to go home. Charli was in James's room, packing up her things.
"Need any help?" She recognised James's voice.
"I'm all good, thanks." She smiled, zipping up her backpack.
"We need to make sure we don't lose contact again!" James said.
"Yes! I've got your number in my phone right now..." she pulled out her phone, and showed him his contact, which was listed as 'Jamie'.
"Char! Come on!" Ryan yelled.
"Just a Minute!" She yelled back. She turned to James, smiling slightly.
"I'll miss you until next time..." she sighed.
"Me too." He smiled, pulling him in for a long hug.
"Char!" Ryan's voice startled her.
"C-coming!" She picked up her bag. Before leaving, she looked at James. After a moment of thinking, she quickly ran up and kissed him on the cheek, before running downstairs to her family.

James stood there dumbly, frozen. What just happened? He went slightly pink. Hopefully she likes me...

"So, Char..." Theo walked into his older sister's room.
"What do you want?" She sighed, putting her book down.
"What happened between you and James?" He wiggled his eyebrows, sitting on the side of her bed. Charli turned a shade of Scarlett.
"I don't know what you're talking about?" She acted dumb.
"I've known you for my whole 12 years of existence, I can tell when you're lying." He smiled.
"We hugged..." she said simply. Theo raised his eyebrows. "Stop looking at me like that? Would you like me to talk to you like this about Savannah?" Now it was Theo's turn to be embarrassed.
"I don't like her!" He insisted.
"Mhm, sure, now that's a lie."
"How about we make a deal? No more teasing each other..." Charli looked down at his outstretched pinky, waiting for a pinky promise. She hooked her's around his, and after a few moments to seal the deal, he left.
Brothers... Charli shook her head. She would never understand boys.

Charli thought back to the moment she kissed James on the cheek that morning. She got butterflies in her tummy just thinking about it. Does he know I like him? She wondered to herself. Hopefully not. That would be really embarrassing!

Ok, I'm pretty sure that updating schedule has gone out the window haha...
