Fire

"Fire!" Someone yelled from the kitchen.
"What was that?" James asked through the phone. Charlotte's breathing began to quicken.
"I-I'm sorry James, I have to go..." she quickly hung up the phone, before running into the kitchen. She saw Alex looking very stressed, and behind him was a flame that had so far engulfed parts of the kitchen.
"What's going on!?" Charli exclaimed, getting really stressed.
"What's happening out here?" Everyone came into the kitchen, and saw the blaze.
"Quick, everyone out!" The adults yelled. As Charli ran out, she noticed the fire appeared to be the biggest around the air fryer. Crap. Someone must have forgotten to turn it off.

With only her phone in her hand, Charlotte ran out of the house while Alex called emergency services. She began to silently cry. They had only been in the U.K for a few weeks now, and tragedy had already struck. She felt her phone vibrating in her hand. She looked at it with vision blurred by her tears. They were texts from James.
'Are u okay?'
'What's happening???'
'Lottie what's going on????'

Her hands scrambled to type a quick reply.
'There s a fire in mt kchtin' she didn't notice the spelling mistakes as she sent the message, before turning her phone off.
Evelyn cried, attached to Theo's side. Yvette and Ryan talked to Alex, panic evident in their faces and voices.

Within a few moments, the family could see and hear the sirens of a fire truck down the street. This is going to be along night, Charli thought.

I'M SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY for not updating in like 50 years BUT I'M BACK. I know it's short but I have a good idea for the next chapter so that will probably be a bit longer!
Question of the day: If you could live in any country/city, what would it be? Mine would probs be Graz, Austria. It's just so pretty and I visited there when I was like 6 and I remember it a bit! Plus I mostly speak the language haha.
