“Where the hell have you been?” Phillip asks rather loudly in my ear. We’re in the health cabin, he insisted I get checked out.
“The woods aren’t as scary as you think you know.”
“Yes they are! What business do you have in there anyway?”
“I don’t see how this matter concerns you.” I cross my arms and purse my lips, I can’t help but pout crankily. I’m obviously in no danger, but I can’t explain why to anyone but Shane and I’m not too sure how he is on the subject just yet.
“It does concern me because I don’t want my wife to be gallivanting around in the woods like an animal!”
“Well then it’s a good thing I’m not your wife to be isn’t it?”
His face morphs into a mix of anger and disgust. I gulp. “You WILL marry me if it’s the last thing I do, do you understand me?”
Phillip is a very large, very muscular guy, so I’m not sure where this bravery comes from but I rise to my feet and look him square in the eye, “No, I’m NOT going to marry you, not even if you were the LAST person left on this earth, do YOU understand ME?”
Before I can turn and march off he grabs me by my upper arm, rather painfully, and jerks me out of the health cabin and towards the direction of the little miniature ‘jail’ of the village. It’s not often used and it’s not like the cells that there used to be, pre-war, but it’s strong enough to hold even Phillip in. But he can’t really lock me in there, can he? I suppose he is the future head of the village, perhaps he can.
“Maybe after you spend a few days, maybe a week, in here you’ll get your head on straight.” With one last shove he pushes me through the gate of one of the cells and locks it shut then tosses the key to the guard. “You’d better stay awake, don’t let her loose!” he shouts at the sleepy old guard who’s now alert and looking rather nervous.
I sigh and stroll over to the far wall and slink down to the floor. This is beyond ridiculous, all because I won’t marry him? This just makes me want to marry him less! He really needs to think things through. I can’t believe so many girls want him so badly, am I the only one that sees what he’s really like? Or am I the only one who cares? Yeah, maybe that’s it, maybe the others don’t really care about his personality because they’re too busy ogling over his attractiveness.
Good thing they don’t know about the beast, if they knew that somewhere underneath all that fur is one of those five boys they’d go crazy over him too! Phillip is nothing compared to any of them.
I wonder which boy he is though, if only I knew SOMETHING about the band. That was so long ago though I don’t think anyone here would know…

I wake up feeling extremely hungry. I wonder what time it is. The guard is asleep slouched in his chair though it’s a new guy.
“Excuse me?” I call out to him but he doesn’t respond. “Sir?” I say a little louder. He shakes awake.
“What?”
“I’m hungry, is there any food you can bring me?” I ask in my sweetest voice.
He looks annoyed but he gets up and returns a few minutes later with a small piece of bread. “This is all I’m allowed to give you,” he says as he hands it to me through the bars. “So what’d you do to get in here anyway?”
“Refused to marry Phillip.”
He frowns at me but doesn’t say anything else.
