mallee tagged behind valerie and corbin, they were going to hospitality which was one of mallakais favourite classes. mallekai was always baking things when she was bored since she thought it was fun and liked hearing her family comment about how tasty it was.

mallee was staring at the floor as she walked along the busy halls, she had view of valerie's worn black and white converse so she knew she was headed the right way.

the sound of overlapping conversations filled mallekais ears as she occupied herself by day dreaming.

mallee was always day dreaming, it was probably her favourite thing to do other than sleeping. mal was snapped instantly out of the day dream when she ran straight into corbin.

"oops sorry corbs!" she chuckled as he looked back at her with a fake angry expression.

"watch it PUNK!!" he shrieked as his lips tugged into a smirk before he was a chuckling mess.

valerie rolled her eyes at her boyfriends silliness before she turned and began to walk into hospitality. corbin followed after her but something stopped mal from going any further into the room. matthew sturniolo.

corbin turned around to mallekai with a puzzled expression, he followed her line of sight as his eyes landed on matt sitting in the middle of the room. corbs rolled his eyes dragging mal the rest of the way in while she tried to fight him off.

with a huff she sat on the seat next to val. why did he have to be in the one class she actually liked? just her luck isn't it.

"oh come on mallekai you can't pretend like he's the worst person in the world!" val groaned at her.

"correction i'm not pretending he IS the worst person in the world!" mallee said turning to face val with a smug smile.

valerie rolled her eyes before turning back to the teacher.

"today we will be doing a practical lesson, it will be a simple one though since we're only just getting started with this course. this will be a pairs project anddd I have already picked your pairs for you!" the teacher sounded overly excited for 9 in the morning.

mallee instantly pricked with anxiety praying that she hadn't been paired with matt. if she had that would just ruin her day further.

"okay so i'll tell you all your assigned partners! starting off we have.." mal zoned out as soon as she started saying names, she only half new the majority of the people and doesn't really care as long as she didn't get partnered with matt.

"valerie gray and corbin vine and lastly.. matthew sturniolo and mallekai rosewood!!" as soon as mallekai heard the words leave her mouth she felt like sobbing. yes they had been okay together when they went paint balling but they still weren't fond of each other whatsoever.

valerie and corbin both had large smiles on their faces, ones that mallee really wanted to slap straight off but she knew she couldn't.

"okay so will the pairs please join together and then you can start baking! the instruction sheet is on the bench, oh and we're making cupcakes!!" the teacher explained.

mallekai sighed before making her way over to matt. she smiled at him with a tight, slightly pissed smile and he responded with a roll of his eyes. typical.
