mallekai finished lacing her converse, rising to her feet from the position on valerie's bed. valerie grabbed her shoes and a pair of socks before sprinting past mallekai toward the front of her house, leaving mal behind in a cloud of confusion.
why was she running all of a sudden? it really didn't matter if they weren't outside within the second, besides valerie was never one to care for that anyways. she was always a little late, it was just how she was.
mallekai continued walking at a steady pace because in all honesty she really wanted to make matt as annoyed as she possibly could. she wasn't evil, was she?
finally mallekai walked out of the front door, seeing the exact reason why valerie had ran passed her. in the back were three smiling faces staring out of the window, though chris was sporting a sad one since the front seat was "his spot". that kid loved being a passenger princess.
mallekai rolled her eyes, swinging the car door open and climbing in before slamming her door shut again. matt glared at her after hearing her aggressive gestures.
"jeez didn't know your middle name was shrek," matt muttered under his breath with the soul intention of mallekai hearing it.
"yeah yeah just drive dumbass," mallekais voice was stern, she could NOT deal with this kids bullshit right now. she had already dealt with it this morning and she was not keen for a round two.
matt rolled his eyes at the girl before turning back to the road ahead of him, reaching for the aux. mallekai huffed, god let's see what he puts on.
to mals surprise the song that began playing was one she adored, 'the hell song' by sum 41. mallekai turned her head toward matt, a suspicious look painting her face.
"the fuck do you know about sum 41 kid?" mallekai hissed, sum 41 was lowkey her favourite band and matt had never paid any interest to them whatsoever.
"I know everything about sum 41, sweetheart." matt's voice was low as he sent her a playful wink.
"sure you do buddy," mallekai rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in front of her. she could still feel matt's eyes staring at her, almost analysing her every move.
"okay so are we going to start driving or continue to listen to your dumbasses arguing for the 5th time today?" nicks voice sliced through the awkward silence that had swallowed the group.
"yes your majesty," matt mumbled before pulling the hand break up, beginning to drive to their destination. the drive was full of chattering and the soft hum of matt's phone playing aux.
mallekai hummed to the songs she knew, which surprisingly was a lot considering half the songs were some of her favourites. matt had never listened to this kind of stuff though, so it made mallekai a little confused as to why he was suddenly listening to them.
mal wasn't really talking much, she didn't feel the need to add to the conversations and quite literally couldn't be bothered to. she'd much rather be stuck in her head, her thoughts felt like a wild storm cloud whirling in her brain.
