It had been three weeks. three whole weeks since mallekai and matt had made out in that alleyway near the basketball courts and barely a word has been spoken between the two.

each and every class they shared mallekai could feel matt's eyes burning through her whole body, even feel the butterflies that arose in her stomach when they simply made eye contact. most of all though, she could feel the suffocating tension when his presence was merely in the room. it was eating her alive.

matt had put that same spell he put on her back in 6th grade, the spell that eventually broke her. shattered her into a million tiny little pieces that she had to pick up one by one.

mallekai didn't want to go through that ever again, how could she? even though mal was so young she knew how much it truly did hurt, it had been the worst pain she had ever experienced. even worse then the time she broke her wrist in 3rd grade after falling off her bike.

she had swore she would never let herself go through that pain ever again but the longing for matt's soft blue eyes to be all hers to study might just have her breaking that promise.

"heyyy mallee baby!!" valerie shrieks, wrapping her arms tightly around mallekai half scaring the girl in the process.

"jesus christ you scared me but hiii pookie!!" mallekai replied allowing herself to turn around in val's arms and hug her back.

"so I must know how's our boy drama going, still MIA?" valerie questioned after she had finally unraveled herself from mallekai.

"yep still nothing, it's so annoying! like how does he go from making out with me to not even saying a word to me?" mallekai tried to mask the hurt in her voice but valerie had already picked up on it, frowning at her best friend.

"I know mal, boys suck." valerie whispered as she wrapped her arms around mallekai once again.

"easy for you to say when you have the best boyfriend to walk the planet," mallekai muttered, apparently it was just loud enough for corbin who was approaching the two to hear.

"awww that's the nicest thing you've ever said about me mal pal!! aren't you a sweetie!!" corbin had a bright smile on his face as he finally reached the two.

"yeah don't let it get to your head, I say equally as much bad things about you." mallekai smirked, flicking corbins forehead playfully causing him to jump back from the girl.

"firstly, ouch the fuck? and secondly, I know that because half the time you say the mean things TO me." corbin pouted at the girl in attempt to make her feel bad, though mallekai just smirked back at him with a glint of evil in her eyes.

"hey at least i'm honest!" mallekai shrugged before resuming in grabbing everything she needed for her next class, calculus with matt. double ew. it WOULD be a singular ew if matt manned up and wasn't such a pussy but alas he was acting like a 5 year old.

"sure if that's what you wanna call it" corbin rolled his eyes, snapping mallekai from the half conversation she was having in her head. valerie just chuckled at the twos minor bickering, they were practically like her children at this rate.
