Later while walking back to the house, Dream still couldn't get her hair falling from her head basically out of her mind. She couldn't understand why this had to happen to her. But was also happy this was happening to her instead of anyone else. What if it was Belly? Or Steven? She knew she wouldn't be able to survive losing them. Which is why it's better if it was her. Looking up she sees she arrived at the house. Walking up she sees everyone out back playing in the pool, except Conrad but then sees him sitting with Nicole on the edge of the pool chatting and watching them play volleyball.
Going over to them she smiles and waves, "Hi, I'm Dream, Steven and Belly's sister," She introduces herself to Nicole, sitting next to her.
She smiles back, "Hi, I'm Nicole, it's great meeting you, Conrad talks about you so much, you'd think you're his sister instead," She laughs, continuing the conversation with the girl.
"Oh, I know, he talks about you too, I swear all good too," She reassures her. Before greeting Conrad too, not wanting him to be left out of the conversation.
The three are in a conversation for a couple of minutes and Dream is enjoying it, this is what she needs, a relaxing day by the pool with everyone she loves. Well until she then got surprised by getting hit by a ball on the forehead. Immediately her hand goes up, "Ow, damn that was a hit," She says, already feeling a headache form. Hearing everyone cringe at the sight of her getting hit and then someone snickering while 'apologizing' slightly before Belly scolds her slightly.
"Are you okay," Everyone seemed to ask at the same time, which somehow made her headache worse, she nodded her head slightly, "Yeah, I'm just gonna head inside and lay down for a bit," She responded to them.
"Here, I'll get you an icepack and Nicole will help you inside," Conrad said, helping her up not wanting her to lose her footing from still recovering from the surprise hit. She smiles at him as a quiet thanks before heading inside with the two. After getting an icepack and thanking Nicole and Conrad again for the help she goes and lays on the couch before inevitably falling asleep.
Waking up she stretches a little before feeling someone sitting on the couch, and having her legs drape over them and a blanket over her. She looks over and sees Jeremiah watching something on the TV. Feeling eyes on him he looks over at her, smiling slightly. "Hey, how are you feeling," He asks, talking more quietly and calmer than normal, not wanting to make her feel worse.
She smiles slightly, noticing her headache has since gotten better, "Good, and my headache is gone, so yeah better than earlier," She responds, "Thanks for the blanket by the way," She continues.
"No problem, I know you get cold when you sleep so better be safe than sorry," He says, smiling at her and rubbing her leg slightly as a way to calm her. It's helping.
"Is dinner ready yet?" She then questions suddenly feeling slightly hungry. He looks back and nods, "Yeah, I think they're finishing it up now." He responds, patting her leg as a sign to stand up so they can go eat.
Eating dinner was a little awkward, but was also fun. Dream wasn't a big fan of Taylor and hearing that she didn't even want to come to the dinner kinda made her annoyed. It was tradition and she wasn't going to ruin a tradition for some party. She did like Cameron though and thought he was a good guy for Belly, she needs a good guy. She mostly stayed quiet and ate her dinner while listening to everyone tease each other.
Near the end of the dinner, she had decided to excuse herself to go get ready for the party and put on something more comfortable but still cute. Deciding on some flare grey leggings with a simple yet cute crochet top that was a pattern of her three favorite colors, green, pink, and a creme color. She decided to keep her hair down and put on her pearl earrings and bracelet with the pearl necklace Jeremiah had gotten for her that day. After about 5-10 minutes of some touch-ups on her makeup, she decided she was ready and went downstairs. She found Jeremiah sitting on the couch, on his phone.
Looking up he put his phone away, standing up "You ready?" He asks, she nods her head and they both head for the front door. Opening it, he holds the door and lets her go out first, sharing a smile with her as she walks past. Then closing the front door he runs up to the passenger door and holds it open for her too. Dream laughs slightly shaking her head, "You don't have to hold the door for me Jeremiah, but thank you." She says, getting into the car. He leans on the door before speaking, "Well it's your birthday, which means you get the princess treatment you deserve, sweets," He smiles before closing the door and going to the driver's side.
"Well, let's get going," He states starting up the car and heading to Nicole's house.
After about 5 minutes of just listening to the quiet music on the radio Dream decides to speak up."I love the necklace, by the way, it's beautiful," She says smiling at him. "Well, a beautiful girl deserves a beautiful necklace," He compliments her. She laughs slightly, "Always the flirt Jeremiah," She says. "Yeah well, it may seem like I flirt with everyone but I'm only interested in one girl, and that girl seems to be sitting in this car with me," He retorts. She blushes slightly, seemingly taken aback by his confidence.
"Well then if you wanted to be with me then just say that," She says confidently, sitting up slightly. Jeremiah, shocked, looks over at her not believing what she had just told him. Noticing that they arrived at the house he parks the car, before turning to look at Dream, taking a breath he says, "Dream Dove Conklin, I want to be with you," he looks at her, waiting for her to respond.
Noticing her shocked and quiet response he starts to overthink, "You were joking, weren't you? Damnit I'm sorry Dream I shouldn't have said that, I'm so-," He gets cut off by a pair of lips on his, catching him by surprise he doesn't kiss back for a second before immediately relaxing and kissing her back.
After what felt like forever the two break apart looking at each other, smiling slightly. "I want to be with you too, Jeremiah Beck Fisher," She then says, smiling wider than before, resting her hand on his cheek. The two then just stare into each other's eyes, happy, 'I finally got the girl' Jeremiah thought. 'I finally got the boy' Dream thought. But a question then came into her mind, and it scared her. No terrified her. Because how long would she have Jeremiah until she was gone? Until she was nothing but a star in the sky, sand in the sea, a snowflake on a mountain. A ghost dancing around the house, waiting for him to come dance with her.
