Thea Sisters Fanserie 19 - The road of success

Sabotage !

In the evening , while the Thea Sisters were already asleep in their room , Apotre Mercury entered the studio . Since he'd seen Dina's father's drums , the young boy had had the idea of playing a prank on his sworn enemies .

Mercury : So these are their musical instruments .

His plan was to take all the Thea Sisters' instruments and hide them somewhere . He started by taking Paulina's synthesizer , then Colette's microphone , then Nicky's guitar and finally the drums . Mercury then threw them into the four corners of the island so that no one would find them .

Mercury : He ! He ! He ! Perfect .

When he finished , the Mercurian left the planet . The next day , the auditions began . The jury entered the auditorium and took their places in the front row . Mausington was seated next to Aria , who was looking away . Immediately afterwards , the Headmaster and Ms. Ratyshnikov entered the room , followed by the Ratstreet Boys , who took their seats behind the teachers . The list of candidates was posted outside , and backstage , the first groups began to prepare . Pamela was the first to spot the Rock Sisters' name on the document .

Pamela : It'll soon be our turn ! We're in fourth place .

Violet : Well , let's hurry up and get our instruments !

In the rehearsal studio , however , a terrible surprise awaited them : Pamela's drums , Paulina's synthesizer , Nicky's guitar and all the rest of their belongings had vanished .

Paulina : W-what ?! Where's all our instruments ?

Pamela : No ! No ! No ! No ! No ! Without our instruments , we're in real trouble !

The mouselets looked at each other , after all the trouble they'd gone to , the arguments , the endless rehearsals... it was too unfair to have to give up . Paulina , however , was not defeated .

Paulina : All is not lost !

She brandished a CD .

Paulina : Check it out ! Our music is saved on there ! To use my recorded tracks , I'll just have to borrow another synthesizer....Or I already know who to ask !

Professor Van Kraken had just acquired a brand new one to reproduce the calls of marine life .

Paulina : His machine is different from mine , but I should be able to use it ! I'll just need a little time !

Nicky : A little time ?! As if we had any... Soon , it'll be our turn !

Colette : Well , I'll try to convince Mausington to put us at the end of the list .

Violet : I could ask Dina's band to lend us a guitar !

Pamela : And Joel can lend me his drums ! If he helped us with the lyrics , he shouldn't refuse to help us again !

Colette : Back to work , Thea Sisters ! There's no time to lose !

The mouselets separated , each with a mission to accomplish . Colette hurried to the amphitheatre to speak to Mark Mausington . Would she be able to persuade him to change the program to move their group to the end ? When she reached the edge of the hall , she found Mark pacing up and down in the corridor . The producer was terribly distressed by the misunderstanding that had driven him and Anna apart . The long years they'd been estranged had been a real pain for him , and now that he'd found his old friend , he couldn't bring himself to lose her again . Colette approached him , introduced herself and briefly explained the situation before submitting her request .

Colette : Could you let us last ?

The girl was spontaneously sympathetic to Mausington , as if he'd known her for some time . In fact , he was strangely sure he knew her .

Mark : Of course ! You're Colette of the Thea Sisters ! Anna has told me a lot about you , of all her students , you're one of the most promising !

Embarrassed , Colette blushed .

Colette : She told us about you too , and the circumstances in which you began playing together... She evokes those days with great tenderness , you know ?

Colette's words brought joy back to Mausington's face . Suddenly , the producer knew what he had to do .

Mark : I agreed to put you and yours friends at the end of the list . But before you go , I'd like to ask you a favor...
