RHYANBROWN DECEMBER 19; TUESDAY
RYAN WAS EXCITED as she sat in the smoothie king arena, surrounded by thousands of pelican and grizzly fans. It was always a thrill at a game but this one was different.
Rhyan knew that it was game time now and that Ja was more than ready to show everyone how he spent those eight months and twenty five games. He was ready to prove everybody wrong and let them all know that 12 was back.
Some were booing and some were screaming and Ja came from the huddle, dapping up one of his teammates then running into the middle of the court.
Kiyan who sat courtside beside his sister looked over at her, "Dad or Ja got us these tickets?" he asked. Rhyan made decent money from her job but he just knew she wouldn't pay two thousand for both tickets for a game.
"Why does it matter?" she asked but continued speaking, "Ja got them for us."
Kiyan just nodded, watching Key who came back over to his seat beside Rhyan, a bucket of popcorn in his hands. "Hey Kiyan." he first noticed the boy who he hadn't seen in a while.
"Wassup Key." he waved. "How much were those popcorn?"
Key looked down at the pop corn bucket then back at Kiyan, "Shit fifteen dollars, here you can have some of mine. Too damn high," He offered Kiyan the popcorn bucket which he happily took.
Rhyan continued to look around the arena, glancing over at the Pelicans side as they warmed up. Looking back over at the Grizzlies side, her eyes connected with Ja.
He was dribbling the ball back and forth in between his legs, his tongue darting over his bottom lip. Once he realized he was caught staring he quickly shot her a childish grin before turning and engaging in conversation with one of his teammates.
Rhyan quietly chuckled to herself. She really did her big one with his hair, he looked handsome.
"Rhyan?" A feminine voice behind her distracted her from her thought and made her turn around. She sported a confused look until she saw who it was.
"Hey Ashley!" Rhyan spoke enthusiastically, happy to see her old friend. Her and Ashley attended their senior year together at Hamilton High school along with their first year at college.
They weren't super close but a bond was formed. Rhyan never truly figured out why they just stopped talking out of the blue.
Rhyan took notice to the baby on her lap whose eyes curiously looked at Rhyan. "Hey Rhy, you here for Ja?" She asked since she knew Zane didn't play for either of the teams.
