ZANE ELLISON
MAY 11; SATURDAY"ITS TOO LATE for this shit Ashley. Just get in the bed yo." Zane tiredly yawned being frustrated with ashley. Groaning as he sat on the bed, Zaylee began crawling her way over, her brown innocent doe eyes lighting with excitement.
It had been two and a half months since the attack and honestly zane felt even worse than he did that night. His bones seemed to have been failing because still with all the PT he hadn't seemed to be getting any better. There wasn't any signs of him getting back on the court till maybe the season after next.
He hadn't realized that this was his karma. It seemed like everything was failing for him. Hailee had already had enough of him and he was sure he wouldn't be seeing any of her after this season. His team had made it further than they ever had in the playoffs, yet he wasn't able to play.
The only source of happiness he truly did have was Zaylee. Ashley was a headache for him, always coming up with a new argument everyday. She was way different from Rhyan, she didn't even satisfy him as good as she did.
The two clashed too much. Zane was self conceited, selfish, controlling, and insecure, while Ashley was the exact same.
"I didn't even do any thing. You the one with the attitude, I just addressed it. You're always like this. Act like a big ass baby." She rolled her eyes hard. then walked away to the direction of the bathroom so she was sure he wouldn't lay a hand on her.
He had never, but still she was afraid. If he did that to rhyan, someone who was a little bigger than her in every area, what could he do to her. That wasn't something that ashley was interested in finding out
Zane just silently shook his head, placing Zaylee in his lap while reaching for the remote on the nightstand beside him. "What you wanna watch?" he asked her, only for the baby to turn her head at him. A confused look on her small face.
He went for Gracie's Corner, her favorite show. That and Ms. Rachel were the only shows she was really interested in. Really the only shows she would sit down to.
Leaving the baby on the the bed, he followed Ashley to the bathroom. She was busy wiping off the makeup from her face.
"What now?" She muttered, pining up the bundles in her head with hair pins, stealing a quick glance at him. He said nothing, just stared at her appearance in the mirror. He wouldn't say anything now but occasionally he compared Ashley and Rhyan, looks wise.
Both were undeniably beautiful, but they each had unique traits that differ the two. He was still trying to figure them out, but he could tell.
"Have you even heard from her? I'm sure if that was your baby, she would be reaching out regardless of what you— what happened." She corrected. The topic of Rhyan's baby kept coming up, and it was something that weighed heavily on Zane's mind.
