"Aeri you've been staring at that soup for 10 minutes now" Mrs. Chu scolded me

"Mrs. Chu how did you know I didn't go to the rooftop that night?" I said almost interrupting her my tone had a tint of anger in it, I gave her a sharp look but my frown was far too visible,

I couldn't continue my day any longer without knowing the truth of how she knew I didn't go to the rooftop that night,

"I was cleaning the kitchen because some students decided to stay after dinner and as I finished I walked back to the main building and that's when I saw you, with another boy, walking to your room way past your curfew"

My expression softened, how could I ever think wrong of the only person who has had my side this whole time?

"How did you think I would know otherwise?" I laughed but deep inside I was so disappointed with myself, How could I, even for the briefest moment, doubt you Mrs. Chu?

"Now tell me what has really been on your mind this whole time?" I sighed

"A lot.." I took my first sip of the soup which was cold now,

"You know that boy I asked you about a while ago, Riki?"

"Oh yes, the one you secretly like" I face palmed myself "Never mind I'm not telling you anything" She let out a laugh whilst rolling her eyes "Such a child"

"I'm not a child" I pouted "If you are just going to pout and not tell me anything, I'll get going" She almost stood up

"Alright I'll tel you" She smiled widely as she sat back down

"So every night when I go to the rooftop, Riki is also there and every time we are together, he confesses?"

"But I know he's just playing with my feelings."

"How are you so sure?" She tilted her head and I looked up at her, she's right, how am I so sure? Maybe he really likes me?

No, never. He just like toying with my feelings, that's all. I shook my head in a fast motion denying the elder's words,

"I just am." She just shrugged her shoulder giving him a "whatever you say" kind of look

"And that boy who you saw walking with me that night is the same boy who asked you to tell me to meet him in the playground that day"

"So you two are close I presume?"

"Well we have been hanging out but there has been some...how do I say it? Misunderstandings between us?" I let out a heavy breathe "Even I don't know what's going on between us" I say hopelessly as I put my head on the wooden table

"It's alight Aeri, time will fix everything" She held my hand not wanting to see me in distress any longer

"I almost forgot.." I raised my head to look at her anticipated face "Yesterday I was with Riki and this little girl, Yuna, Doctor Park's daughter..."

"She's such a sweet girl that little one" I nodded "We were hanging around then suddenly Riki said if she was alright with him taking me in which she replied that she didn't mind but as long as we don't forget her..."
