Chapter 3

You wake up to your alarm at 7 am to get ready for the day. You put on your tie and pack your bag to go to breakfast. As you go towards the common room, you can hear the guys talking. "Good morning, everyone!" You greet them, and they greet you back. "Good morning, Princess." Mattheo says and winks at you. "Let's go before the good food is gone." Enzo says, and you're on your way to the great hall.

You sit down at your spot and fill your plate with some food. "How is Leo doing? I'm assuming you went to Leo's?" Tom asks and continues eating. "He's doing well. Sweet of you to ask, brother." Mattheo says and takes some more food. "Of course. I like Leo." Tom says. "How could you not like him? Theo! I love your uncle's food! He's awesome!" You half-scream across the table. "You guys went to Leo's? Without me? I feel betrayed." Theo says and puts his head down. "He's just being dramatic." Pansy whispers as she strokes his back. "I'm sorry, Y/N and I were hungry, and I wanted her to meet Leo." Mattheo says and takes a bite of his breakfast. "You could have asked me to come as well. You know I'm always hungry." Theo says and purses his lip. "Next time we will." You say and smile at Theo. "We could have a double date!" Pansy says with a grin on her face. You look at her, widening your eyes. "Date?" Enzo says as he takes another pancake. "Matt and Y/N aren't dating?" He says as he pours syrup on his plate. You sit there in silence and can feel your face warming up. "Well, this is awkward." Blaise says, and everyone continues eating.

15 minutes later, everyone finishes up their breakfast, and you split up to go towards your classes. "Hey guys, wait for me! I have Charms as well!" Enzo says as he catches up to you and Mattheo. The three of you continue walking. "I'm sorry, by the way. I didn't mean to make it awkward between the two of you." Enzo apologizes. "It's fine." Mattheo says. You can't help but wonder what is going on in his head. "Yeah. You're good. Pansy was just being silly." you say, hoping Mattheo is going to say something. And he does. "Exactly. You're good, bro." Mattheo says and walks ahead. "I'm glad we cleared that up." Enzo says and smiles at you. You try to force a smile, but the best you can do is slightly raise the corners of your mouth. Does Mattheo not feel the tension between the two of you? Or are you seeing things that aren't there? You arrive at Charms class and sit in the back with the boys. You can't seem to focus on Professor Flitwick's lesson because your mind is still on Mattheo and his reaction.

"Princess?" Mattheo gives you a little nudge as he gets up. "Class is over. Are you okay?" He asks because you haven't talked since the class started. "Oh. Right. I'm fine. I was just... Thinking." You say as you pack your bag and get up to go. "Want to go to the courtyard? Get some fresh air?" Mattheo asks and holds out his hand. "Sure." You say but don't take his hand. You walk out to the hall, and Mattheo and Enzo go after you. "I have Herbology later so I'm heading that way. I'll see you at lunch!" Enzo says and walks the other way.

You sit down on a bench in the courtyard, and Mattheo sits next to you. "Beautiful day today, huh?" Mattheo says and looks your way. "Uh huh." You shortly say and lean back. "Is something wrong?" Mattheo sits up straight and turns your way. "No? Why would something be wrong?" You say without showing any emotion. "Just tell me if it's something I did?" Mattheo says desperately. You sit up straight, take a deep breath, and turn towards Mattheo but keep your head down. "It's stupid. I don't know. Let's drop it, okay? I don't want this to ruin our day." You say and smile at him. "Whatever you want, Princess. But I'll be here when you're ready to talk." He says and smiles. You smile back at him. You take your phone to see what your next class is. "We should get going. We have Care of Magical Creatures in 5 minutes." You get up quickly and start walking, Mattheo walks after you.

You arrive at the outside class. "Hello kids. Welcome to Care of Magical Creatures. My name is Hagrid, and I will teach you all about the wonderful kinds of creatures we have here in the wizarding world. Today we will learn about Hippogriffs." The class goes by in the blink of an eye. You really enjoyed Hagrid as a teacher, and you got to feed one of the Hippogriffs!
