Mae and Brian finally arrived at the Toretto's house. They drove to the driveway, really loud music and people laughing could be heard from the house.
"Thanks for the ride" Brian said, Mae reached the door and noticed that Brian was still standing in the driveway."Let's go inside for some beer" Mae said and Brian immediately smiled.
"That would be nice"
They opened the door, everyone in the room looked at them. Dom started to smile as soon as he saw Mae, he was glad that his sister was in one piece and alive.
"You're alive!" Dom shouted and hugged Mae, he seemed a little bit drunk."What are you celebrating?" She asked her brother. They always celebrated their race victories like this, but with the winner being there.
"Your victory and eventually your funeral" Dom said as everyone laughed. Mae just rolled her eyes. She left Dom standing in dront of the door, she went to rhe fridge. Mae handed Brian a beer and took one for herself.
"Where have you two been?" Vince asked giving them a dirty look. He thought for sure that Mae and Brian had joined his car or something. Honestly, Mae would have liked this more than what they actually experienced."We had a really friendly time with the Tran's gang" She looked away from Brian and focused on Vince and his question.
"Brian's car got blown up, we almost got shot by Johnny but yeah that's for asking" Mae said, getting mad. She could see Dom's shocked face. At this moment, Dom realized that Brian might not be as bad as everyone else had thought. This guy literally saved Dom's sister's life."Yo Mae! Why'd you bring that buster here?" Vince yelled.
"Because this buster saved her life!" Dom replied to him instead of Mae. Finally some drunk words that made sense.
"We literally don't know him" Vince stood up from the sofa, staying quiet.
"There were times when I didn't know you too" Dom replied, walking closer towards him.
"Best times of my life" Mae said quietly, so only Brian could hear it. They watched Dom and Vince from afar, they wondered how this would end."Yeah, that was in fourth grade." Vince gave Dom stern look. These two looked about to start argument.
"They do this everytime?" Brian smiled. Brian finally decided to open his beer. He wiped the tip down with his shirt, lifting it a little bit. Mae was about to blush. She started to think about unholy things, not even knowing why."Let's go upstairs" Mae told him, grabbing his hand. Brian started blushing so badly. They walked upstairs to her room. She opened the door, switching the light on.
"Well you owe me a second car, Spilner" They sat on her bed. Brian looked around the room, there were car posters on the walls. One also featured a Nissan Skyline, his dream car.
"Skyline?" Mae looked the same direction as Brian.
"Dream car" he simply replied.
"Literally" Mae smiled at him. They seemed to have the same taste in cars. She would never have thought that she would be hanging out with someone who likes tuna."I noticed you kinda don't like Vince" Brian chuckled. He was right. Mae wasn't really a big fan of Vince, and Dom knew it, but he couldn't do anything about it. Vince was still part of his family.
"Then you noticed right" They talked about the whole Dom's team. When suddenly they heard someone open the door from Mae's room. It was Jesse.
"I'm sorry!" he screamed.
"What do you want?" Mae asked him.
"We're going to order pizza, do you want one too?" Jesse asked behind the nearly closed door. Mae nodded and Jesse slowly closed the door.
"What about him?" Brian pointed to the door in the moment as Jesse closed the door completely.
"Jesse? He's the best" Mae smiled. These two talked till' sunrise, getting to know each other more. Mae found Brian to be really nice, funny and overall pretty. She definitely wanted to hangout with him more.
"It's already morning?" Brian said, looking out of the window, seeing beautiful sunrise there.
"Felt like 5 minutes" Mae looked into Brian's blue eyes. His eyes literally sparkled because of the sun."You're so beautiful," Brian said softly, tucking a strand of Mae's hair behind her ear. Her heart started beating like crazy.
"Not now Brian, you're drunk" she laughed and pushed his face away with her hand.
"So some other time?" Brian raised his eyebrows and started laughing too.
"Good things take time, babe" Mae said and hugged him.
