Like Star Wars fans want Luke Skywalker to stay the Luke he is at Return of the Jedi as Musa fans of the Winx Club show want Season 1 Musa preserved, I am sorry but the only reason you don't want your characters to grow is either you're also unrealistically stupid or you completely hate change and the aspect changing brings instant turmoil.

And it is futile to resist change as Fillmore says in Pixar Cars 3 thank you that is one of the wisest lines in the Car Franchise that never came from Doc in the last decade. And he's absolutely right and that is exactly what Cars 3 was centered on Lightning getting used to accepting change as well as Cruz getting use to change. And it is always what Toy Story 4 does in a way more healthy realistic way. This is the one movie where the characters choose to run into the change and the turmoil that comes with Minus Bunny and Ducky they never change in that movie period. But Woody proves to me how much he's matured since Toy Story 1 and now he's surpassed my favorite toy of the Franchise Jessie when Toy Story 4 came out. Now I see him as a worthy role model for young kids to real look up to. Bo Peep isn't wrong when she says Woody acts out of Loyalty  and I admire her respecting him for that. It is a nice callback to flashback to earlier in the movie where Bo says to him. "Woody, I am not Andy's toy." And he actually respects her wish right there and lets her go. That level of respect of change is not evident in all of Andy's toys because they were thrown into the change curveball immediately in Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2 and Toy Store 3. In Toy Story 4 that is not the case as at all. You're going to be more reluctant to choose to embrace a forced change thrown up you than you will one you embrace coming at yourself when you get to finally be at this place, "Oh, that's not as bad as I thought."
