Which Is Which

CHAPTER TEN

Early morning I woke up with my eyes swollen, I think I cried in my sleep or something, I had alot on my mind alot was bothering me it's like my world was coming to an end I couldn't understand what was happening.
Lewisa and I hurriedly set off for class, our first classees started pretty well, as we went for our 4th class it started well but to our surprise there was noise outside it seemed as tho people were fighting.
A pretty lady with a baby on her back was trying to find her way to our class room, a few staff members tried to get a hold of her but were unable to till she finally bugged into the room, we were all looking at her wondering what was wrong with her, she stood in silence for a while and then finally spoke
  "Whose Lucy in this class"
All eyes turned and looked at me I was equally shocked as they all were, I didn't know this woman, why was she looking for me
  "I asked, and I will ask again, whose Lucy in this class" asked the woman in a very harsh way
  "If I may ask, why are you looking for Lucy, are you related to her" asked Mr Fanwell our English teacher
  "I am not related to her in any way I just want to know her, I have something to discuss with her"
At this point I could see there was something off in her tone, what would a woman like her want to discuss with me, Lewisa on the other hand kept whispering to me not to review myself, I couldn't hold it in I really wanted to know why she wanted me so badly.
I stood up with so much difficulty, because Lewisa kept pulling me back to sit down till I finally said
  "I am Lucy "
The woman walked up to my seat
  "So you are the Lucy that's famous now in my home"
I didn't understand what she meant
  "Pardon me, what are you saying madam" I asked
  "Don't pretend you don't know know what am saying girl"
  "I honestly don't know what you are saying madam"
She stepped a little bit closer to me and threw a pierce of paper to my face that seemed like a letter, to my surprise when I opened it, it was the same letter I had written to Likando, I was more confused at this point
  "You wrote this letter to my husband, I found it in his pocket" she said
My world came crushing on me at the sound of those words "HUSBAND" Likando is married, I felt weak and broken I didn't know whether to cry or apologise I still in disbelief.
  "Am talking to you"
  "Am sorry, I didn't know that he was married" I said
  "You knew, he told you, but you forced your way to him"
I broke down in tears uncontrollably I couldn't defend myself anymore as I had no explanation to give.
The situation become very tense every one was there to witness it and it was obviously going to be the topic for the whole week, the woman was asked to leave so that the situation could be solved in an orderly manner, she made alot of commotion but suddenly agreed, I was also asked to follow her at the office, from a distance I saw Likando trying to talk and pursue his wife, he didn't bother about me, neither did he greet me or apologise.
As I entered the office all eyes were on me, I felt so ashamed of myself, I was asked questions back to back.
I told then everything, how it all started and everything we had done I was so scared, what if my parents found out, the disappointment on my fatgers face appeared to me, I wished I didn't engage myself in all this in the beginning.
When everything was concluded it turned out that Likando has lied about me and him to his wife, he made her believe things that weren't true.
In the end Likando was transferred away from the school and luckily i was forgiven because I was in my final year, I still moved with shame, what I did with Likando still haunted me, I wasn't ready yet to stop loving him but I just had to and am sure his marriage was never the same since that incident that had occurred between us, till today I still ask myself if he still thinks about me just like I do or maybe he forgot about me, I hope to meet him some day as I have alot of questions to ask him.
