"I don't know about this Christina." I whine.
We're currently at the tattoo parlor, about to walk in.
"Oh, come on. It's not that bad. Trust me. I did it last year." Christina says.
"Ugh." I mumble under my breath.
I point to the shoe store across from us.
"Look! A shoe sale!" I exclaim.
"Seriously?! Where?!" Christina squeals.
I take this as my chance to run.
I stand behind a poster board in front of the store.
"I don't see a sa-" She pauses.
I hear footsteps approaching me.
"Tris. I can see your feet." She says.
I move my feet to the part of the poster that hits the floor.
I can practically hear her roll her eyes.
She grabs my wrists and pulls me out from behind my hiding spot.
"I don't wanna do it." I say.
"Oh well, we're doing this for Four." She says.
"We?" I ask.
She nods her head, pulling me into the store.
"How can I help you?" A voice sounds from behind me.
I slowly turn around.
There stands a tall, handsome, green eyed man.
He looks like Four's age.
"She wants a belly button piercing." Christina says from behind me.
I'm too lost in his handsome features to respond.
"Alright. Right this way."
Christina shoves me forward, causing me to get out of my daze.
"Have you chosen a charm for your piercing?" The handsome stranger asks.
I shake my head.
"Here."
He hands me a tray with tons of different charms hooked onto it.
Only one catches my eye.
I hand him the charm that I want.
"Ah. The anchor. Good choice." He says.
I smile.
"You can take a seat now." He says, gesturing to the dentist looking chair.
Slowly, I move onto the chair.
"So, what's your name?" He questions.
"Tris."
"Well, Tris, I'm Jacob. You can call me Jake." He says.
I nod.
He grabs the tools to pierce my belly button, cleaning them in the process.
"What brings you here?" He asks.
"My best friend over there wanted me to get this. I, on the other hand, didn't want to be here." I say, rolling my eyes.
"Don't, or didn't?" He questions.
"Didn't." I answer.
I see him smirk from the corner of my eye.
I suck in a breath as he starts to pierce my stomach with the clamp looking tool.
"I want you to count down from five." He says, pointing the needle at the skin that's currently clamped.
"Five."
I feel a slight sting as I start to say the next number.
"You didn't let me get to one." I complain.
"I never said that I would do it at the number one." He says, smirking.
I roll my eyes.
He picks up the anchor charm and attaches it to the metal bar that he put through the pierced hole.
"A beautiful charm, for a beautiful girl."
I blush.
"You can pay over here." He says, walking towards the front of the store.
"How much?" I ask.
"Thirty." He says.
I give him a confused look. "But, the sign out front said-"
"Then why'd you ask?" He chuckles.
I don't respond.
I give him the right amount of cash.
"Here's my card. In case you wanna get another charm or something." He hands me a white card.
I notice that it has his phone number on it.
"Thanks." I say.
"Anytime."
Blushing, I walk out of the store.
"How was it?!" Christina exclaims.
"I got forty dollars off." I pause. "And a phone number."
She squeals, causing me to cover my ears.
I look back, finding that he's already staring at me.
