After I get home from the tattoo parlor I go to the kitchen for some ice cream.

I open the freezer part of the fridge, searching through the maze of food.

As I'm staring at the freezer, begging it to make ice cream magically appear, I feel two muscular arms wrap around my waist from behind.

I wince as they run over my newly pierced belly button.

"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" Four asks, pulling his arms back.

I shake my head.

Turning around, I point to my exposed stomach.

"Oh. Sorry. I like it though." He says.

I smile.

"Thanks." I say.

"Do you have to clean it or something?" He asks.

"Yeah. It's kind of complicated." I say, shrugging. "I can do it though."

"Alright. I have to go. I just came over to see you before tomorrow." He says.

"Okay."

He kisses me, walks out the door, and drives away.

After I finally find the ice cream, I go and sit on the couch and put Netflix on.

Suddenly, my phone goes off.

Christina: Have you texted him yet?

I give my phone a confused look.

I text back: No. He just left my house.

My phone goes off again.

Christina: You let him come to your house?!

Confused even more, I text her back.

Yeah...Why wouldn't I?

Immediately, she texts back.

Christina: You just met him!

What's she talking about? Oh! She's talking about Jake.

I text back: Oh. Jake? Not yet.

It's like she's staring at her screen.

Christina: Then get to it girl!

Laughing, I get Jake's card out of my back pocket.

I dial his number. After a few rings, he answers.

"Hello?" His voice sounds through the phone.

"Uh, hi. It's Tris. The girl that you pierced her stomach today."

"Hmm...I've pierced a lot of stomachs today. But, only one had such a beautiful name like Tris." He jokes.

"Oh, stop." I blush.

I hear him chuckle.

"What's up?" He asks.

"Nothing, I just called to, um, call?" I say.

"Well, I'm glad that you did." He says.

His voice is as handsome as he is.

"Do you wanna meet up at the Dauntless Diner?" He asks.

"Sure." I say while nodding.

"Great. I can pick you up at noon." He says.

I look at the clock in the kitchen.

"That's in five minutes."

"Then you better get ready." He says, chuckling.

I end the call, run up to my room, and get ready.

When I'm done, I'm wearing a Bugs Bunny top with short sleeves that shows my stomach, black ripped skinny jeans, my black vans, and my hair's in loose waves.

I keep my natural makeup on that I did this morning, grab my bag along with my phone and my wallet, and I walk out of the front door just in time.

I see a truck pull around the corner at the end of the street.

"Hey beautiful." Jake says as he pulls up with the windows down.

"Hey." I say, jumping into his truck.

He looks over my outfit.

"I like your belly button piercing." He says.

"I got it done by the best." I chuckle.

"I wonder who that is." He jokes.

"Hmm. I wonder." I say.

"I guess we'll never know." He says, laughing.

We burst out laughing as we drive out of the neighborhood.

"You know, you interrupted a very important meeting with my Netflix." I say.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I should just go back." He jokes, starting to go into reverse.

"No!" I shout.

He raises both of his eyebrows at me with a smile.

I clear my throat.

"I mean, uh, it's fine. This is better." I say, blushing and looking out the window on my side of the truck.

He chuckles, pulling into a parking spot.

I live pretty close to the diner. I never noticed until now.

"Alright. We're here." He says.

I reach for the handle on the door.

"Wait." Jake says, causing me to stop what I'm doing.

He gets out of the truck and walks to my door. He opens it and motions for me to step out.

"What a gentleman." I say with a small smile.

We walk into the diner and he holds the door for me again.

I playfully roll my eyes.

"Hey Jake!" A dark skinned woman behind the counter exclaims.

"Hey Julie." Jake greets.

We sit down at a booth by the window.

"Who's this pretty lady?" Julie asks.

"Julie, this is Tris. Tris, this is Julie." He says, motioning with his hands.

I reach out to shake her hand. "Nice to meet you." I say.

She laughs, shaking her head.

"Come here sugar!" She exclaims, lifting me up from my seat to give me a bone crushing hug.

I laugh as she pulls back.

"You haven't brought one in this sweet and pretty before." She whispers to Jake.

I chuckle.

"You want your usual Jake?" She asks.

"Yup. Tris, what do you want?" He questions.

"Um, I'll have the same thing." I say, leaning on the table with my elbows.

He gives me a confused look.

"But, you don't know what I'm getting." He says.

I shrug.

"I like surprises." I say with a smirk.
