Carina had her bags packed, her ticket booked for the following day. The decision to travel to Italy weighed on her heart, but it was an imperative need. She needed this time away to reflect on her marriage with Maya, the choices she had made, and what she truly wanted for her future. The imminent departure carried a mix of anxiety and hope, as, although uncertain, this separation could be the first step in finding clarity and balance in her life.

Even after the intense fight with Maya at the hospital, Carina was determined to resume her shift. She recognized the importance of her role as a mentor to residents and interns and didn't want her personal life to affect the quality of education she was providing. With a visible effort to put aside the tumultuous emotions, she continued her shift, focused on imparting her knowledge and experience to the future doctors who depended on her guidance.

In the early hours, a terrifying event shook the calm of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. A gas leak in the wing where Carina was stationed created a tension-filled atmosphere. Initially, the hospital staff noticed a strange odor and immediately called the maintenance team to check the problem. However, before they could control the situation, an inadvertent spark triggered a frightening explosion, sending flames rapidly spreading.

The fire engulfed the wing in question, turning a hospital environment into a scene of panic and chaos. The alarm sirens echoed through the corridors, drawing the attention of the entire medical and security team. The sprinkler system was activated, releasing a deluge of water, but the intensity of the flames was still overwhelming.

Carina, along with other patients and staff, found themselves amidst the growing chaos. They struggled to escape the flame-engulfed areas, while firefighters and the emergency team mobilized to contain the fire and evacuate people safely.

The hospital, usually a place of healing and care, had become a battleground against the fire. The courage and determination of the doctors, nurses, and firefighters were put to the test as they worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was removed from the fiery area. Fear and anxiety hung in the air, but the team's strength and hope of saving lives kept everyone focused on their tasks.

The scene was alarming and the tension palpable when Station 19 received an urgent call for a rescue at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The fire that had spread through the hospital was already at a fifth alarm for the firefighters, indicating the severity of the situation. The Station 19 firefighters knew this was no ordinary incident, and the seriousness of the call for help put everyone on high alert.

As the members of Station 19 prepared for the mission, Maya couldn't contain her despair. The thought of Carina being in danger inside that hospital, along with other medical colleagues and vulnerable patients, made her anxious to act quickly. Her determination to help and lead her team was unwavering, but the uncertainty of what they would find at Grey Sloan heightened her apprehension.

— Maya, I know the situation is tense, but you should wait for news about Carina before going in, — Jack says, concerned about his friend.

— He's right, Maya. You need to know if she is safe before acting impulsively, — Andy agrees with the firefighter.

— I understand, but I can't stand by while Grey Sloan is in flames, Carina might be in there and I'm not going to wait while my wife is there, — the lieutenant replied, fearing what might happen to her spouse.

The engines of the vehicles were roaring and the sirens echoing through the streets, as they headed to the fire scene with the determination to fulfill their mission and save lives. The night would be long and full of challenges, but they were prepared to face the fire with courage and solidarity, hoping to find Carina and everyone else safe.
