Author's POV,

Ovie was gone.

Everything was gone.

As soon as she crossed the threshold, Advait fell on his knees. He was staring out the open door, into the empty street realising that the only love of his life had left him alone. His face was void of any emotions. He was frozen. He couldn't accept the fact that she left him. He had never loved anyone until Ovie came into his life. She was his first love. He never thought that their relationship will be of such short span. He still didn't understand that why she was adamant about her career. It wasn't like he had nothing for her to work outside. He could provide her with everything that she would ever need.

Amyardh squatted beside him and patted his back, his eyes were filled with concern for his brother. But Advait was so numb in shock that he didn't respond anything.

"Advait... " Amyardh called and squeezed his shoulder. As he heard his brother's comforting voice, he hugged him tightly and let his tears flow freely. He was sobbing hard while Amyardh consoled him, patting his back gently and lent his shoulder for his heart broken brother.

"Teri baat maan leni chahiye thi. Aaj tera dard samaj sakta hu. Yeh jo tu likha karta tha, aaj uss ehsaas ko jee raha hu." (I should have listened to you. I can understand your pain today. I am living that feeling what you used to write.) Advait broke the hug after a while and said while looking at his brother in pain.

"Bhai-" (Brother-)

"Mat kar console. Mat de dilasa. Toot ne de. Tu samjhayega fir bhi ye dil samjhega nahi." (Don't console me. Don't give solace. Let me break down. Even if you will explain, still this heart will not understand.) Advait said. Amyardh tried to hug him but he distanced himself from him. He started laughing like a maniac while still crying.

"Nahi nahi bhai. Tu sunn na! Tujhe yaad hai? Tu ne uss din ye kaha tha." (No no brother. Listen to me! Do you remember? You had said this the other day.) Amyardh just listened to Advait attentively, letting him pour all his grief out. It was heart breaking moment for Amyardh too. He felt so pitiful, seeing his brother's miserable state.

"Mohabbat sacchi ho toh,
Usko jaane nahi deta insaan.
Wo behti nadi si hai,
Aur ruka hua hu main.
Wo hai mukammal si,
Aur toota hua hu main.
Uske aaghe koi wajood hi nahi mera.
Khazaane si hai wo,
Aur loota hua hu main." Advait continued. Amyardh's eyes widened as soon as he heard his brother reciting that poem. His face morphed into sorrow, bringing back the memory of that horrible past. He looked lost, transported somewhere in his past.

*Flashback*

The gray sky mirrored the somber mood. Raindrops cascaded down, their gentle patter against the windows providing a melancholic soundtrack. He entered the hall with shaky legs, his teary eyes had a look of disbelief. The kind of disbelief that appears when in denial mood. He couldn't believe that his fate had played such a brutal joke with him.

The somber setting had enveloped the surroundings just like the weather outside. The hall was adored with white lilies which symbolized purity and rebirth. The lighting was dim and the diyas casted a soft and comforting glow. The Calming fragrance of the incense sticks wafted through the air, mingling with the fragrance of fresh flowers placed delicately around the room.

A fragile looking figure, shrouded in white linen, laid peacefully upon the wooden platform in the center of the hall. Her once vibrant with life and youthful features, now held an ethereal stillness. But her features still held an air of serenity and grace. She looked like she was in her adolescent stage, maybe in about 18 or 19. Her skin was like a moonlit glow. It was as if she had been touched by the soft brushstrokes of an artist, creating an ethereal beauty. Her eyes were framed by long lashes and the faintest hint of a smile graced her lips. Her raven-black hair cascaded gently around her face, framing her serene expression.
