Could the Horus Heresy been prevented or even Delayed?
If the Emperor had told his sons about the forces of Chaos and their temptations, could half of his own sons not turned against him?
If he never had Guilliman and the Ultramarines bombed Logars homeworld and destroyed their temple, probably wouldn't have had the Word Bearers become Chaos.
Had he at least got to understood and get to know his sons, even helping save Angrons friends and help in the rebellion.
If the Emperor had not treated them like his own personal creations and rather his sons, maybe half of them wouldn't have fallen to Chaos or hate him so much.
Also, why would he leave for Terra at a great time; to work on his project and not give much information to his Primarchs?
If he also been a Father to them, they all wouldn't have needed Dr. Phil. Because it looks like they all need Dr. Phil.
