Alex

I still can't believe Olivia and I are together. I can't get yesterday's events out of my mind. I glanced at my cellphone screen and saw the last-minute picture we took last night.

"We're here. Take care on your way home, okay?" Olivia said to me. Our hands were still intertwined. I almost didn't want to let go of her.

"Can I just sleep here, love?" I asked her, adding a hint of cuteness. Hopefully, it works.

She laughed and kissed my right cheek. "My boyfriend is so clingy," she teasingly remarked.

I slowly leaned closer to her, and she closed her eyes. I closed mine too as our lips met. It was a slow and passionate kiss. We then looked at each other, smiling.

"Do you want to take a selfie, so you won't miss me too much?" She asked me.

I nodded and quickly took my phone out of my pocket. It took us three tries before we said goodbye to each other. When I got home to my condo, I immediately called Liv, and we fell asleep while talking on the phone.

When I arrived at our office building, I immediately saw her waiting by the elevator. I walked briskly towards her just as the elevator doors opened. I reached for her free hand, catching her attention. I smiled at her.

She glanced around before speaking, "Someone might see us, Alex."

I squeezed her hand. "It's just us here, love."

Her eyes widened at my words, so I chuckled softly at her. "Oh, why? Isn't that the suggestion you liked the most from last night?" I teasingly asked her.

Olivia

Is this really Alexander James Mitchell I'm talking to? My boss? The CEO of Mitchell Trading and Corp.? I looked at him seriously, and it seemed like he got what I meant.

"S-sorry, love. I mean Liv. I'm just so happy that we're together. Won't happen again. Promise."

I took a deep breath before speaking, "We need to be professional at work, Alex. We talked about this last night, right?"

He nodded. When the elevator opened, I let go of him, gesturing for him to exit first. He followed suit. After a minute, I followed him. All our colleagues greeted Alex and me. When I reached my desk, I organized my things before heading to the pantry. It's a tradition here to have coffee before work, except for Alex, since he's, our boss. So, I started fixing his coffee.

In the pantry, everyone was chatting. Suddenly, Cassy and Frederick approached me.

"So that's why you've been ignoring me, Liv," Frederick suddenly said.

I looked at him and asked, "Huh? What nonsense is that, Fred?"

"We know you have a boyfriend, Liv," Cassy interjected.

I suddenly felt nervous at her words. Other colleagues came closer, eavesdropping.

"Is it true, Liv?"

"Oh man, I was going to set you up with my nephew."

"Congratulations, Liv. Invite us to your wedding, okay?"

"Who's that, Liv?"

I just smiled at them and pulled Cassy aside. "What did you see, Cassy?"

Cassy gave me a mischievous smile. "Your boyfriend seemed so handsome. Too bad I didn't see his face. I only saw you two on the bus."

I breathed a sigh of relief at her words.

"I really thought there was something between you and Mr. Mitchell."
