After an intensive few days with Greg's Irish family, and their dinner with Albert, Lawrence and their wives, the Abernathys were at the Dublin airport early on Sunday morning for their flight to Edinburgh. They boarded with mixed emotions about leaving so soon instead of spending one more day with the family. They knew their Irish relatives would be burying Ezra that morning, holding his funeral and a wake. But all three of them were also very aware that those were only Ezra's earthly remains the family would be burying. His spirit was home in the heavens, something Melody was eager for each of them to understand, both on the night after Ezra's passing, and on the night before their flight. Susan could remember it clearly when she woke.
"I'm not alone anymore, Mama," Melody told Susan while she slept. "Ezra and Jesus are with me, so you can stay longer. Father said."
"I'm glad you are so happy, Melody. Mama loves you," Susan told her.
"I know, Mama. It's all okay. Father needs you where you are. I have people who love me here. You don't need to worry about me anymore," Melody insisted.
"I am more than certain the Lord will take care of you," Susan told her. "Listen to your Father. Do what he says, and I will see you again at the end of my days."
"Okay," Melody agreed. Briefly she looked older to Susan, and Ezra was with her, looking at her curiously. "That's my Mama," Melody informed him.
"I know. I met her. That is why she can see me. She listened," Ezra told his soulmate.
"Good," Melody declared.
Then Melody turned with Ezra, and together they walked away, leaving Susan to wonder if she would see her as often in her dreams anymore. She was still pondering that when she boarded the plane. Susan knew the rest of the family dreamed of Melody too, but none of them was willing to share the details of what they dreamed.
"I believe this will be a very short flight," Greg remarked as he sat down in a seat across the aisle from Susan and Jessie, interrupting Susan's revere.
"I'm okay with that. I think I am ready see something new today," Susan told him.
"Mama, Edinburgh is really old," Jessie reminded her.
"I know it is, but it is new to me. I've never lived there. I've never even been there. I don't think either of you have either, so we have no personal or family history associated with the place. Maybe we can simply enjoy sightseeing in a historic place instead of trying to unravel a mystery while we are there?" Susan suggested.
"We do seem to be doing that a lot on this vacation," Greg remarked.
"Yes, we are," Susan agreed.
They were still discussing that fact when the plane took off, and also when it set down, taxied to the terminal and they began the process of unloading from their flight. It was indeed, very short.
For the Abernathys, their brief visit to Edinburgh was a welcome break. After dropping their luggage off at their hotel, they simply played tourist, toured the famous castle, visited a few shops, and explored the streets that led from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Abbey. Along the way they found a place to eat, and eventually returned to their hotel, their arms loaded with gifts for the family which they planned to take home. Although they left their luggage at the hotel not long after they arrived in Edinburgh, they didn't actually check in until the very end of the day on Sunday.

"That was fun!" Jessie declared while shaking out her arms when they got to their room at the hotel.
"It was," Susan agreed. "I think we found some very fun toys for Millie and Sally to give them for their birthdays."
"I think they are getting even more things because of us not being there," Jessie observed.
