The Lord stood considering his adversary at this the end of His faithful's days.

"I concede. You have won our wager," Lucifer told the Almighty as they stood looking after the souls chosen for their wager as they entered the gates of Heaven together, forever leaving the waiting place behind.

"I helped," the soul who was once Melody crowed.

"You did," the Angel of the Lord agreed.

"I taught Mama and Papa to believe, pray, study, listen, and do," Melody proclaimed.

"You taught my faithful and their children many things," the Lord told her. "However, ultimately it was My lesson in Harmony combined with Faith, in the face of their differences which allowed them to succeed. I know it wasn't easy. None of the battles fought for the souls of men are, for the angels that serve Me."

"Will my message from You help my family to succeed?" Melody wondered.

"In time, my child, I believe it will," the Lord promised. "For now, sing with your family who are here, and let those on the Earth rest until it is time to join you."

Melody smiled, then together with her soulmate, she did what the Lord said. She went to join the singers of heaven, knowing her voice would be heard when it came time for those she loved to eventually come home.
