Prologue - What feels like dying

The blood was spilling from the wound in my abdomen, dirtying my clothes with dark red. My eyes closed as my breath started vanishing, I could hear my heartbeat slowing down until it stopped.

Silence.

Everything I could hear was silence, nothing else. I was cold tho, I could feel the coldness of my body but it was a weird sensation, like I was now... empty.
Suddenly, I felt like falling, my body fell in what felt like darkness as I clenched my hands into fists. They somehow clenched on something, and then it vanished too.

My flesh landed on the ground, and it was dark, really dark. Then, a light. It was red, though.
My eyes opened and the blood red sky came into view.
The pentacle in the sky is brilliant and, frankly, not very disturbing.
