(Y/n) POV:

Ok, ok. Calm down, you've read SO many fanfics for this moment!

I took a deep breath and willed myself to calm down. It took too much effort. Too. Much.

"Ohhhhh no. I left Dad. Shit, Shit!! I left Dad all on his own! I was all he had..."

I tried to reach up to brush through my hair—a habit I've had since I was young—and then I realized something.

I couldn't sit up. I only knew I was in a forest because of the noises around me—my vision was extremely poor (I mean, I already had poor vision, but this was like I was almost entirely blind!). It was like I had eyes that were stuck in a constant position.

Like ovals for eyes or something...

When I tried to run my hands through my hair, I noticed immediately that I couldn't. Because I didn't have hands. Or hair.

"What...the... HELL?!?!" I tried to shout, but I couldn't speak either. I could only think, eat, and bounce around (which took lots of getting used to).

Eventually, I calmed down enough to think through this odd situation. This is almost like that Slime Issekai, but I didn't die... did I?

I fell asleep while watching YT videos during my colleges winter break. I was clean, I had food and water... I couldn't have died!

I wasn't sick, either. I'm a fucking medical student, I think I would recognize the signs (although I wanted to be a psychiatrist). So what, I just... manifested into this world as a slime of all things???

I tried my best to look around some more, jumping as I moved. When I landed on something that didn't feel like the grass I was on, I panicked.

"AAH! What is that?!" I cried out to myself. As I screeched for my new life, I heard a small "bing!" from behind me. I turned around to see a player screen. "Great, Solo Leveling is included in this horror show now..." I muttered to myself.

I read it to the best of my ability—it was a lot clearer than most other things in my surroundings, so it wasn't too hard. The purple pop-up window read as follows: "You have consumed item; Wolfhook! Find 9 more for sufficient ascension materials."

"... Ascension materials? What? I'm in Genshin Impact, right? So..." I thought for a moment, "Do I need to level up? This really is like Solo Leveling..."

Another bing. "Entity named (Y/n) (L/n) has come to correct conclusion. Now loading profile..." the dots appeared and reappeared as it loaded. It sure took its time, so I started to move as I waited.

I wandered around aimlessly and realized that I wasn't hungry. It had to be at least four hours since I arrived in this world, but I wasn't hungry at all. I didn't feel too tired either.

I assumed my questions would be answered once the system fully loaded, so I just continued bouncing along through Wolvendom, trying my best to avoid the wolves and Razor, since both would probably try to kill me.

I relied solely on my memory from the game to get to the exit, which was difficult since I didn't go to Wolvendom very often. Eventually, out of pure luck, I made it out of the woods.

I knew this because I wasn't bumping into trees as often.

I was also getting notifications telling me I had consumed Lamp Grass, Mint, and Windwheel Asters consistently. 'I swear on my love of books, the first thing I'm gonna do when I figure out how to work this system is turn off spam noises,' I thought, annoyed.
