A strange library, really. Despite this, Y/N walks into it. Its appearance was of a normal library, but there didn't really seem to be anyone present inside minus Y/N and the Librarian, which seems to be deep into a brown, large book without any kind of clear cover while drinking her tea. The prominent color of this place was a wood brown, and the second she walked into it the scent of fresh wood and paper filled her nostrils, oh she loved the smell.
Y/N was going through libraries to find this one book that her boss asked her to find in order for her to complete her daily reports, but she wasn't able to find the book anywhere in her local libraries, which caused her to go exploring more and she eventually ended up here.
She walks over to the desk where the Librarian resided, reading her book. The older lady looked over at her with a side-eye, which made her feel like she wasn't exactly welcome, but regardless, the Librarian spoke.
"Welcome. Make yourself at home." The Librarian said, in more of a quiet whispered voice, but her tone seemed to be a bit more on the annoyed side.
Y/N didn't know how to exactly react to this tempered Librarian, but responded in a nod and walked off to one of the bookshelves. This library gave her a strange feeling, and she hopes she could just get out of here as soon as possible.
Y/N explored the bookshelves, trying to find the book she was quested to look for, but she couldn't help but look at this one title that peaked her interest. She's never seen a book that looked like this before.
The book was more of a blood-red color with a leather cover. The title was ingrained into the leather red cover, titled "Book of Hell." Y/N never really believed in Heaven or Hell, but she thought that it was quite an interesting topic regardless. She inevitably reached over and took the book out of the shelf, and sat down at one of the near tables where guests usually would go to test read a book.
Y/N let out a sigh, 'should I really be looking around and reading books? I still have a job I need to do.' She stared at the book for a second, contemplating her time but she somehow felt drew to it. She examined the cover more, which had a drawing of a pentagram on the center.
She caressed the cover of the book with her hand, feeling the indention of the words and drawing on the hard, red leather. Eventually, she convinced herself to open the book and read a page or two.
The pages were blank. She furrowed her eyebrows. This has to be a joke, this book looked so well put together, yet all of the pages were empty? Why would they put an empty book inside of a library anyway?
She made a small sigh, what was she really expecting? She closed the book and rolled her eyes, picking up the book and she got out of her chair, and began walking back to the bookshelf she received it from.
But, she wasn't walking on the ground anymore.
Y/N blinked, and the next thing she knew, there was no book in her hands, and she was in the air, with a blood red sky as far as the eye can see. Before she could respond and process what happened, she began falling, hundreds of feet down. The wind started smacking into her face, her hair began flying and her body tumbling down, her eyes widen as she was getting closer and closer to the ground. She screamed, and eventually smashed into the grass. Surprisingly, she didn't die here and there, despite the pain she felt from smashing her body into the blood red terrain.
