"Rosita!" I call out for the woman I became best friends with in the past two months.
Ever since Abraham and Sasha became an item and broke Rosita's heart. We egged their house together which got me scolded by Rick. It was worth it though.
"My eyes! My eyes!" I yell out when I walk in on Rosita and Spencer naked in bed.
"Maeve!" Rosita squeals, "get out before I hurt you!"
I laugh in response, "I'm sorry!"
I quickly make my way out of her bedroom and out of this house. I think I need my eyes washed after that. Spencer's ass is surprisingly hairy.
Of course I end up running right into Shane once I've managed to escape that traumatizing scene.
"Woah, you're in a rush," Shane points out, grabbing ahold of my arm to steady me.
"Spencer and Rosita," I answer with no other explanation.
He seems to understand exactly what I mean, "I thought they were sneaking around."
"And you didn't tell me!?" I exclaim.
"I didn't know I had to!"
I laugh and shake my head, "it would have been nice to know."
"Well, you'll be the first person I tell if I see anyone else sneaking around together."
"Thank you."
"You're back!" I run towards Daryl and straight past my older brother.
Daryl is quick to open up his arms for me and embrace me.
Rick and Daryl went on a run this morning and I'm definitely surprised that they were back so soon. I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow.
"We brought someone back with us," Daryl tells me.
"Why didn't you hug me?" Rick asks, faking being hurt.
I let go of Daryl and go to hug my brother, "who did you bring back?"
Rick hugs me gently, "His friends call him Jesus."
"Interesting name."
This man was definitely interesting. His hair is down to his shoulders and he has a boyish charm to him. They locked him up for whatever reason. I guess he stole their truck. Such babies.
He claims to have a community and I'm intrigued. This community worked out for us so maybe his is like ours. I know we were screwed with Woodbury but this could be different too.
"We can figure everything out tomorrow," Daryl tells me, leading me towards our house.
It's still crazy to be able to say our house. Where we can raise our baby.
"I got Denise the damn soda she wanted," he mutters.
"For Tara?" I ask him.
He nods in response.
He's such a sweetheart. He does small things for people that he thinks they don't notice or care about. It's the small things that matter. I love the small acts of service he does for me. I never thought that would be my love language but it definitely is. He will make me a cup of coffee every morning. It's very domestic.
"Shower with me?" He asks quietly.
He hates showering alone. It's hurts me every time he asks me to join him because I know it's the little boy in him afraid. He doesn't think he's good enough to be clean. He doesn't think he deserves basic hygiene because he didn't have it as a child.
His father only abused him and Merle treated him like complete shit. I would do anything to protect little Daryl Dixon. He deserved so much more than what he got.
I undress as Daryl does the same. The water is heating up as we do. Hot water has been a blessing in Alexandria. The last time we had it was in the prison.
We stand under the water together. He holds me against him as the water runs over us. Showering together is similar to a mental cleanse. I always feel better and closer to him. I lean up and connect our lips, wanting to feel physically closer to him as well.
