It is now March sixteenth, two-thousand and seven and it's finally the time for which I've been waiting a whole month. It's spring break and I'm headed back to Seattle to see my bambina. I've been on the plane for twelve hours and I can't stop thinking about the fact that it's been two months since I have seen Maya in person.
Thirty minutes later, it's eleven at night and we're landing. I'm in first class, so we're first to get off the plane. Within five minutes, I'm walking into the lobby and immediately see her. I start crying and as soon as I get to her, I hug her and hold on for dear life. After a couple minutes, I pull back and kiss her.
I then kiss her cheek and forehead and adjust my suitcase so I can take her hand with my right. Before I can grab it though, Maya grabs it and then takes my hand. We walk out to the car and go home. Once at home, we walk inside, lock everything up, turn off the lights and go to bed. She immediately snuggles up to me. I wrap my arms around her and lay us down.
"I miss being this close to you," she says. "I miss holding you," I reply. "I miss falling asleep to your heartbeat," she replies back. "I've actually been thinking more about our future together. I have nine more years before I can physically one hundred percent even think about moving here to the states. Most of those years, I will have very little free time to spend with you. But, as soon as those years are through, I will move here." "Okay," Maya replies.
I kiss Maya on the back of the head. "Go to sleep," I say. Within seconds, Maya is asleep. I follow her right after.
