17 | PEARL THIEF: Exposed

At the king's sacred office, the messed up family gathered altogether.
Everyone is in shambles to hear about what Prince Taecyeon was doing behind his family's back. The king slapped his son

“How could you do that to Mina?!” The king asked in anger

“Please, father.. believe me! I'm being wrongly accused!” Taecyeon pleaded

“Are you gonna cover yourself up with another lie?! Have you learned nothing?! You were caught by the Pearl thief, he exposed solid evidence!”

“They are nothing but lies! I'm begging you, father. Give me a chance to prove my innocence, please! Why would you believe that wench over your son? Your own blood!” Taecyeon kneels down in front of the king

For years, Mina had always questioned herself as to why Taecyeon had always been a distant and absent father towards her though Taecyeon is close with Sana, Mina first thought it was only because she's not doing enough but now everything is all clear, Taecyeon is not her father. Sana thought that it'll be better if Mina take a rest and not be in here at the moment because she knows how heartbroken Mina must be feeling right now

Imagine living your life thinking you know everything but it turned out that you really don't and they were lies. Mina must've felt betrayed and hurt

“Then surrender yourself” Sana spoke, Taecyeon looks at him in surprise

Other than himself, Taecyeon loves his real daughter a lot. He always thought that he did his very best to be a good father to Sana, he expected that she would side with him. If only he knew that Sana was one of the people who were responsible that his lies and sins were exposed

“You said you're innocent to whatever the hell is that vigilant saying. Why would you run if they're nothing but ‘lies’?” Sana confidently asked

“For once, I agree with Sana. If you want to prove your innocence, show us that all of the things they're throwing at you are wrong” The king said

A little later …

Sana comes to Mina’s room, she hugs her sister

“I’m sorry if I didn't pay much attention to you, Mina.. I know I could do more but I was only thinking about myself the whole time to the point I forgot I still have a sister. I promise you, I will now do everything to protect you”

“Don’t be sorry, unnie. It should be me who should apologize, I'm sorry that I lied to you.. I just can't really accept it.. I thought ignoring it will make it all go away” Mina cries

“Mina, that's what I did in the past and look how it went.. bad. Don't ever keep a blind eye, you'll only be eaten by guilt and regret”

“And I'm not mad at you.. I rather feel sorry for you that you have to go through this” Sana stopping herself from crying and be seen as a strong big sister to Mina

“Don't you worry, Mina. I will make you safe now, always” Sana said

“Princesses, your highness Jihyo would like to enter the room” Jungkook announced outside of the bedroom

“Let her in” Sana permitted, The door then opens and Jihyo came inside

Sana and Jihyo's last conversation didn't end well, is it okay for them to see each other again? The two shared a blank eye contact with no emotions seen in their faces, as if they're just strangers to one another

“Are you okay?” Jihyo asked Mina

“I am.. Sana-unnie will be protecting me” Mina said, Jihyo glanced at Sana again
