The competition between Nichkhun and Taecyeon was no secret, everybody had the knowledge that the two were fighting for the king's approval and attention. But at the end of the day, Nichkhun will always be the first in line of the throne that Taecyeon hoped he was. Middle child is probably the worst position in a sibling, because being the spare like Junho would put him at ease because there's no way he'd be the next in line and that is actually quite calming to know that he get to decide on his own life without being compared to the oldest child.. that the middle child often experience

Well, if you're the oldest child, you're 50/50 in this situation. You either get the whole world for yourself or give your whole world to your siblings, Nichkhun is lucky enough to be the favored and adored. But why be middle when you can be the first? The prince harbors a grudge against his older brother, envious that he is. Prince Nichkhun knows that Taecyeon was praying all his life for his downfall. But kind that he is, he always try to understand Taecyeon and hope he'd change someday

Years and years later, the princes have created their own families. Nichkhun married his first love while Taecyeon married a woman who will help him gain influence and power. Nichkhun has a daughter named Jihyo, who is now second in line in the throne after him. Taecyeon has three daughters, Sana, Miyeon, and Mina. As for young prince Junho, he had always been single without any love life. Ignored and forgotten, he had the most freedom just like Sana. He was content to his life, but that doesn't stop him from ignoring the wrongdoings of his father and brother

He thought they'd ignore them as that's a normal thing but they didn't. After he spoke out and tried to question the king's abilities, mistakes, sins and expose them, the king was left in anger. He exiled the youngest prince to Europe and banned him from getting back from his homeland. Ever since then, none of the members of the royal family spoke to the young prince

What lie did the king tell to the family as an explanation why Junho suddenly disappeared? He took his own life. See? What kind of a father the king is? How could he do that to his own son without feeling any guilt? He's so cruel

Then a year after prince Junho’s exile, prince Nichkhun was assassinated on his trip with Sana. Reasons why Sana’s identity was kept a secret, for her safety. Sana was just a girl, she was traumatized and that is a normal reaction but it didn't let that painful event define her

Moving on to the new generation of the family, the four princesses grew into beautiful and talented princesses. The nation adores them a lot but unfortunately, Sana is still  kept hidden for safety reasons

Princess Sana is a confident, strong-willed, skilled martial arts princess. She is the least favorite grandchild of the king and Sana likes it that way as she and the king disagree on everything. The people working at the palace say Sana is too opinionated, rude, and full of herself. And that she's secretly jealous of her cousin, Jihyo

Now, if you think about that.. don't you get deja vu? Wasn't Taecyeon, who is Sana’s father, jealous of his brother, who is Jihyo's father?

Sana is now 11 years old, Jihyo and Miyeon are 8, while Mina is 4. At their indoor playground, Miyeon noticed that Sana has a brand new doll

“Unnie, where did you get that?” Miyeon curiously asked

“Mom gifted it to me for children's day!” Sana confidently said
