CHAPTER SEVEN
CURRENTS
"you the type to

˚✧₊⁎*⁎⁺˳✧༚THE day had started of rather peacefully, and went on as such.
Shivani awoke that morning in the best of moods, the sun kissing her good morning with the chirping of birds and purring of Milton in the background. With the sun shining down on her, she decided today was the perfect day for doing absolutely nothing. So, that's exactly what she did. Shivani had severely underestimated how easy it was to get sucked right back in to the world of supernatural. Summer had been a break from it all, but then she blinked and she was back to the running from death. The Caddel girl was well aware getting involved with the pack made attendance mandatory, but that didn't mean she too needed break every now and then. Milton had been satisfied to finally have Shivani for himself again. Isaac had officially moved in with Scott. Though she knew him staying at hers was only temporary ( her parents had no idea and she couldn't keep sneaking him around ) it felt odd when he finally left to stay with the McCall's. Not that she liked him or anything, but his company wasn't completely terrible.
Not that she'd ever admit to that.
For a change Shivani's father was at home. It seemed after everything that had changed in her life, her parents had a mutual agreement that at least one parent would stay at home at the time. They had been furious with her the night of the full moon. Shivani got it— of course she got it. Disappearing without a word only to return at the ass crack of dawn was sure to worry them. But they'd been so absent for so long. It had taught Shivani independence. It felt unusual having to let someone know where she was going at all times. Leaving her by herself had worked out just fine for so many years. She was a reliable kid, always had been. Her parents had wondered if moving to the small town had been a mistake. Shivani had changed, and they weren't certain if it was for the better or for the worse.
Returning from motel Glen Capri they had learned a couple of things— one of which were that wolfsbane weakened her powers.
Keeping her powers secret had insured that no one hunted her, but with an increase in the amount of people who knew she was bound to learn stuff she didn't want to know. Though the knowledge of her weaknesses could be useful, it also terrified her. Knowing that there were things out there with the ability to hurt her made her feel like some helpless little girl. All she could hope for was that the pack of alphas still didn't know how to weaken her.
Stiles had personally driven her home after the bus arrived back at school. She had insisted that she was fine walking, but after what happened at the motel he didn't want to risk it. Shivani was too drained to argue, giving in to his demands. Stiles pretty much yapped her ear off the entire ride to her house, but she didn't mind. Watching him go on so passionately about his theories was almost calming. She often wondered if she'd ever find her passion, or if she was condemned to a life lacking it.
