{Ratigan's lair}
{Ratigan's POV}
I enter the room in which Flaversham is still working on the robot, he looks over at me with a saddened expression, "Ah, Mr. Flaversham." Flaversham eyes me warily as I hold my cape over the door dramatically, "Allow me to present.. Your charming daughter." I move my cape out of the way, revealing Olivia to him.
"Olivia!" "Father!" Fidget keeps a tight hold on Olivia until she steps on his foot, he foolishly lets go of her and hops around while holding his foot, "Owww! My foot, my only foot!" Olivia hugs her father and starts crying, "Oh father! I thought I'd never find you!" He hugs her back with a gentle smile, "Oh, there, there, there, there, my bairn. I'm all right! Oh, I was so worried about my little girl.." I pretend to wipe away tears with my handkerchief, "Oh, how sweet," I feign sniffling, "Oh, I just love tearful reunions.."
I then lift up Flaversham's arm and take Olivia by the forearm, "Now.. Come along, my dear." Olivia starts crying again, "Oh, please! Please!" She reaches out for Flaversham as Fidget takes her away, "Father!" I restrain Flaversham, "Olivia! Oh please, Professor!" I hold his face in one hand as I restrain him with the other, "Now, now, Fidget will take good care of her." I poke him in the chest twice, "That is, as long as we have no further delays!" I put him down and he picks up a wrench and another tool I don't know the name of, "Yes, yes, I-I'll finish it! Oh, just don't hurt my daughter.." I go to the door, "Remember, it must be done.." I close it, but I open it again and I glare at him with contempt, "...Tonight!!" I slam the door.
Outside, Fidget is putting Olivia in a green bottle that's lying on its side, "Stop! Let me go! You ugly old thing!" She shouts at him before she's put inside the bottle, the cork is shoved into its place as Fidget makes a comment under his breath, "That ought to hold ya!" he goes over to Olivia, who's shouting "Help! Let me out! Let me out!" While banging on the glass. "See how you like that!" He says, blowing a raspberry before striding over to me.
I look through the bag of things Fidget took and I smile a little as I pull out a royal guard uniform, "Ah, the uniforms! Oh, Fidget, I knew I could rely on you." I chuckle softly as I stick my head into the bag for a moment, I take my head out after a second and look at the ugly little creature that is Fidget, "Now, you didn't forget anything?" The thing in front of me cackles, "No problem! I took care of everything, everything on the list!" He checks for the list and his face drops, "Uh-oh.."
"What's wrong?" I ask as Fidget frantically pats himself down in search of the damned list, "The list... I know.." I become increasingly angry, "Where's the list??" Fidget starts nervously explaining himself, "The list, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, you see, uh, it was like this. I was in the toy store, getting uniforms, when I heard 'A-roo, A-roo'." I rub my temple, puzzled and impatient, "You're not coming through.." And then, I hear a sentence that I wish I never had to hear..
"A dog came, I ran. I had baby bonnet, girl in bag, and Basil, he- He chased me!"
...This. Ends. Now.
"What?! Basil on the case?! Why, you gibbering little..!" I clutch my chest, and I see Fidget cower as I try to pull myself together. My face turns red from anger before I take a deep breath, take a few seconds to breathe, and scoop Fidget up into my arms while chuckling, "Oh, my dear Fidget. You have been hanging upside down too long." He seems relieved, "You mean, you're not mad? I'm glad you're taking it so well!" I take Fidget out back, I take out my bell and ring it. A few seconds later, Felicia takes Fidget and is trying to have him for dinner. Of course, he's not having it. "Not me, you idiot. No, stop! You stupid fur ball! Open up! Open up! Ai, ai, ai! Oh, ow! You're hurting my wings!"
My back is turned as this happens, I'm leaning against a bottle and rubbing my temples, "How dare that idiot Basil poke his stupid nose into my wonderful scheme and foul up everything??" Fidget keeps screaming, "Let me out! Let me out! Help!!" He managed to climb out of Felicia's mouth, but she stuffs him back inside and plugs her mouth with one of her paws. "Oh, I can just see that insufferable grin on his smug face." I bang my head against the bottle and winces in pain, but I suddenly have a wicked idea and smile to match. "Yes... Yes, I can just see it." I chuckle to myself, "Felicia, release him."
Fidget whines, "I'm too young to die! Wooo..." Felicia pouts for a moment before spitting him out like he's the most disgusting thing she's ever tasted. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.. Having finally found some use for this idiot bat, I pick the formally useless thing by his cheeks, "Fidget, you delightful little maniac. You've presented me with a singular opportunity!" I shook him a little before dropping him.
I feign a look of concern, "Poor Basil!" I chuckle evilly, "Oh, he is in for a little surprise."
