Harry bounced up and down on the balls of his feet. His hands stuffed in his pockets as he waited for Kat. He'd had a brief chat with Agung before he'd been called away for kitchen duty, so now he was left just waiting for her to arrive.
A trickle of sweat made its way down his back. The humidity was going to be intense and he was glad of their destination. On days like this even the breeze off the ocean didn't help cool things much.
Kat checked her back pack one more time. She had no clue as to where they were headed and packed everything she thought she may need. Lightweight jacket, her running shoes in case they were going off track, hat, sunscreen, bottles of water that she had ran out and got the night before. Camera, phone and money.
A smear of her chap stick hit her lips before she checked her appearance once more. She turned in front of the mirror a couple of times, before smiling a satisfied grin and locking up to meet Harry.
Kat noticed as she rounded the corner that Harry was shifting around, his hands stuck deep in the pockets of his shorts, that were hanging snuggly from his hips. She admired the apparent strength of his forearms. Toned even when relaxed as they were. The ink on his left arm intriguing her. So many tattoos and all of them and seemingly random.
Harry turned his attention back from the street to see Kat walking confidently towards him. Another pair of cut offs on, these ones much shorter than the pair she wore on the beach yesterday. A fact of which he smiled at. A white tank top hugged her torso tightly, emphasising the swell of her breast. Her hair, up in a ponytail, was swinging side to side as she continued towards him. The smile on her face evident as she got nearer to him.
"Hey." He greeted her as she reached his side. "Have you eaten? I can wait for you while you do"
"No I'm good, I had breakfast as soon as it opened, just in case."
"Cool." He grinned at her smile that had stayed as it had been when he first saw her. "Shall we go?"
Kat nodded and fell into step with Harry. His arm immediately touching hers as a warning to stop as they reached the roadside. An automatic reflex that Kat found endearing. As soon as the traffic cleared he voiced, "Ok." And lead the way across the road.
After crossing they walked in silence to where his car was parked. Harry opened the back door and Kat looked at him like he was mad but was about to climb in any way.
"For your bag." He smirked. "I'm not playing chauffer, tody is about two friends going for a drive."
"Oh." Kat flushed at her mistake and then flushed again at how flustered he was making her feel. She did not get flustered like this at home. At home she was always in control and calm. Even when she first met Zayn, she hadn't felt this ..... intimidation wasn't the right word, she felt giddy around him. Her brain automatically turned off and all she could see was him, and all she wanted was to impress him so he would want to spend time with her.
He chuckled before leaning closer to her as he reached around her to pull her back pack from her shoulder. "Relax Kate." His other hand captured her other arm and rubbed lightly. "Let's just have some fun."
Kat looked up at him. His face so incredibly close to hers that she could see the slight stubble he hadn't bothered to shave above his lip. She could smell soap mixed in with what she assumed was his musky deodorant. "Fun." She murmured back, the entire time looking at his lips and wondering if they were as soft as they looked.
Another smirk deepened his dimple. "Like I said the other day. I'll only bite if you ask me too."
Kat watched on as Harry bit his lip lightly as he continued to smirk. She licked her lips at the thought of him nibbling on the delicate skin around her neck. Her breathing rose and fell a little faster as they stood by the door, the tension between them thick.
