35-The past

The door opened revealing jace with files in his hands,he dropped it onto the table and distributed it to the agent who was presenting in the meeting.

"With our investigation so far,we found some clues on taemin,he met these three people", Jace turned on the TV screen and a picture of Jimin , taehyung and Jungkook came up before turning back to his colleagues.

"according to our report,they were his friends in high school but they never saw each other again until the day of his disappearance"

"that means,something happened between them maybe they had conflict or old grudge against each other"the first officer spoke up and flipped the paper on his hand to another page.

"It could be,but these boys certainly don't have any criminal records,Jeon Jungkook was born into one of the richest people in the country he lost his parents at an early age,he had a brother who later passed on, right now he's an orphan left with much wealth by his parents and brother"

"currently he is in the same university with the other two,Kim taehyung was also an orphan but he had a brother Kim namjoon and uncle Kim hyun woo,he's currently the heir to the Astro one of the largest companies in Korea right now...."

A hand raise from one of the men and Jace stopped.

"Why is Kim taehyung the next in line to the Astro Shouldn't it be hyun woo son or kim namjoon his elder brother?"

He asked confused and Jace clear his throat before looking back to the files.

"Well, Astro was originally owned by his parents and his elder brother has declined the position to become a doctor so basically kim taehyung was given the inheritance and we dig into their background and there's nothing unusual about them"

He continued and scrolled to the next image.

"The last person was park Jimin, he lived alone with his grandma and recently moved to Seoul"he turned to the screen and showed them a very blurry picture capture as evidence.

"The camera catches taemin from the street showing him leaving with one of the boys but we couldn't see his face, and he came back alone,the other CCTV has been tampered with and the owner of the restaurant has completely disappeared"

"Something is definitely fishy,Taemin maybe already dead and that means the guy is the prime suspect for this case,let issue a warrant for them"the second officer spoke up and the rest agreed except one person.

"We shouldn't,at least not until we have proper evidence,if we move rashly we may end up losing a vicious criminal and a psychopath"

Jackson Wang objects only to earn a frustrated huff and murmured from the rest but what can they do especially when he's their boss.

"Sir,Why are you so interested in this case anyway.we could've let the lower unit handle it"they asked in curiosity and Jackson tangled his fingers on the table.

"no case is small when it comes to justice!!"He expressed his gaze held authority and seriousness,he ended the meeting and the rest exited the room except Jace and he locked the door before coming back to his boss.

"You are right sir,Jeon Jungkook indeed went missing like you said but how did you know about this?"

He asked with curiosity and Jackson gloom immediately,of course he wouldn't have been able to,if He didn't witness it himself that night on a rainy day.

Jackson sighed for the nth time at the pouring rain and the rumble of the thunder outside the office,he regretted so much for not bringing an umbrella.nobody know it would rain today anyway and now he had to be stuck here.
