6-the encounter

Jimin slowly opened his eyes to the sunlight pouring through the room and the sound of birds chirping from the distant trees.

He glanced around the unfamiliar room and quickly remembered that he was in Taehyung's room. He had been too scared to stay in his own house after everything that happened yesterday, so Taehyung had suggested that he stay with him. Jimin had accepted without a second thought.

He was actually happy to have someone to talk to about the stalking incident and finally get the problem off his chest. Taehyung had promised to help him, but he still couldn't stop worrying. What if they failed to catch the creepy stalker? What if the stalker was more dangerous than they thought? What if Taehyung ended up getting hurt because of him?

Jimin removed the blanket from his body and quietly crept out of bed to look for the younger male, only to stop in surprise when he found Taehyung already awake and busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen.

A small smile appeared on Jimin's lips as he stared softly at him.

He had been worried about all the sudden changes in his life, but somehow Taehyung had appeared out of nowhere and become his savior, bringing comfort to his frightened heart when he needed it most.

Jimin had no idea how long he stood there watching the male until Taehyung suddenly spoke.

"You know you're kind of creeping me out."

His voice dragged Jimin out of his thoughts.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" Taehyung asked, glancing over his shoulder.

Jimin nodded.

"Go shower and come down for breakfast. We need to get to school on time."

Jimin turned around to leave but suddenly stopped.

"Taehyung."

The younger male turned to look at him.

"Thanks for yesterday."

Taehyung flashed him his famous boxy smile.

"Anytime."

If only Jimin knew that everything Taehyung remembered was not a coincidence.

If only he knew that the moment they met had been carefully planned.

Every encounter.

Every smile.

Every comforting word.

Everything had been arranged for him.

And if Jimin knew the truth, would he still be standing there smiling at Taehyung?

"So how are we going to do this?" Jimin asked while watching Taehyung eat his lunch at an almost ridiculous speed.

"I'll tell you, but not until I finish this," Taehyung replied before gulping down another piece of pancake.

"That's Jin hyung for you," Jimin scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"I have been summoned."

Jin suddenly appeared beside them and dropped into the empty seat.

He let out a dramatic gasp when his eyes landed on Taehyung. He slowly scanned the younger male from head to toe before turning toward Jimin with wide eyes.

"Oh my goodness gracious! Jimin, you found yourself a handsome prince!"

Taehyung chuckled.

"I'm Kim Taehyung."
