Martinez was quick to snap back into reality. "Oh no..." she mumbles.

"What?" Purple somehow heard her.

"I know Bene well enough," Martinez sighs, "she will not survive on her own. And if The Sages catch her..." She began to feel tears well up in her eyes as she thought about it.

"We shouldn't waste time," Spy suggests, unbuckling her mask, revealing her face. She had brown eyes and subtle freckles, "But we must devise a plan first."

"I was going to suggest the same thing," Kross said, "but how would we do it?" She turns to Martinez for an answer.

Martinez takes a deep breath before she said, "We're going to need everything we have, whether useless or not, it will be used for something." She then looks at Spy for any objections.

"The Sages are a powerful tribe, infamous for stealing and using resources from others to their advantage," Spy continues, "I was quick to learn their weak spots when I first joined; if we were to have someone brave enough to distract our strongest members, we would be able to take some of their resources. What will this do? It will make us stronger; before I took on the role as a spy, I was a medic, practicing in the event of an injury or accident. The Sages possess a powerful poison often used to sedate or paralyze enemies. We'd often douse the poison in our swords, spears, daggers, whatever sharp objects."

"What other resources do they have?" Kross asks.

"There is one that The Sages have that makes them so powerful," Spy takes out a small bottle of a glowing blue liquid, "This is what we call the Power Potion. I don't remember what's in it, but it is said to make any weak tribe member into an unstoppable Monster. Our assassins and spies were able to get ahold of the tribe that made this, and we killed them, taking every resource they had with us. For years, our leader used it to reign over us, making our tribe bigger and taking advantage of smaller tribes."

Jack examines it, his eyes reflecting the blue light emitting from the liquid. "How valuable is it?"

"Very," Spy told him, "It's said to come from a flower that is only present once every a hundred years."

Martinez couldn't help but take a look herself. "Then we'll give it to the most vulnerable," she declares, "of this tribe at least."Everyone began to look at Martinez, to which she was puzzled. "Not me. I'm not apart of any tribe."

"But out of all of us, you've shown to be the most vulnerable," Spy says.

Martinez looked offended. "How so? You've seen me attack one of your strongest tribe members. If anything, Purple is the most vulnerable."

Jack looks at Martinez. "Vulnerability ain't always about physical strength. It's what we've gone through psychologically; you've lost your best friend in that fire, you lost another friend to a tribe that wants to kill you, and you've been beaten and battered. You still may be vulnerable, but you're stronger than you once were."

Martinez had nothing to say other than reminiscing about the time she first arrived at the orphanage. She had no memory of her mother or father—only the scientists and people who abused and experimented on her. Her only good memories were those of Pixel. To her, Pixel was an older sister who taught her right from wrong, to never let things get to her, and to prosper when things are tough. Living a life without her best friend was a testament of her willpower and determination. Now it was time to prove that even the most vulnerable of broken children can make the biggest impact. "I'll do it then," she utters finally, "I'll do it for the friends that I've made, I'll do it for the promises I swore to...I'll do it for Pixel."

To start, one would have to track down The Sages headquarters—Spy would do, so for the majority of the adventure there, she lead the way. Beforehand, everyone was assigned a group to stick with, which was about five or six members: assassins stayed with the other assassins, the medics worked alongside the tanks; and the leaders with the spies. "The layout of our headquarters is more than just a throne room with bodies and skulls, there are three different levels; the highest we'll start, and then we'll work our way down." Spy says. She suddenly stops in her tracks, looking up at the tall building where a storm cloud hovered above the top.

Ban Ban growls quietly. "Scary..."

"We should be more afraid of what they're planning," Martinez grumbles, "they're like fleas to a dog's fur. Itchy and clingy, never letting go unless washed away."

"Are you the only spy?" Purple asks Spy.

"There were many before me, and even after I left," she tells her, "but even then, I didn't know them. They're likely better at hiding than I am, too."

"You said that there were three levels," Jack says to Spy, "what's that like?"

"The highest level, which we call the Summit of Prisoners, is where we keep and torture our prisoners. Most of them don't make it out alive in time to see their tribe again, and we make sure of that," Spy continues, "the second level is our laboratory for potions and a resting place for medics and other tribe members. The third is where our leader resides the most. Sometimes, I hear her talk to herself, almost as if there was another being in the room with her."

Kross thinks for a moment. "No wonder why she causes such atrocities."

"There may be other reasons for that," Martinez steps in, "I only saw her once at the orphanage, but I knew how crazy she was; I'd hear her scream and mutter about some entity that was controlling her like a puppet. It's my belief that this 'entity' told her to burn the orphanage down, killing everyone in it."

Spy lowered her ears a bit, concerned as well as intrigued. Sandy rarely ever talked about the entity that was controlling her, but she'd make it known that they existed. Spy began to theorize two things: Sandy was hearing voices that told her to be such a terrible person, or that the entity was a Demonic Soul that pulled on her strings to make her commit such evil. Either way, Sandy had to be stopped.

Martinez looks at the building. "Spy and I will be at the top of the headquarters freeing any prisoner who has a life to live; Kross and Purple, you guide a group and gather was many resources as possible, and be sure to stay low; the rest of you will meet Spy and I at the bottom—make sure to examine and observe what Sandy is doing, but be careful when you do so."

Everyone looked at each other at first with uncertainty and suspicion, but they all understood their tasks and objectives, nodding respectively.

"We may not know each other or of our creed," Martinez goes on, "but we must set our differences aside and do what's right for our survival, our friendships, our future, and most importantly, the the future that the next generation will live to see."
