JJ dropped off Brooklynn at the hospital after their big discovery. JJ and Sarah insisted on staying with Brooklynn but she told them she was okay by herself.
She stayed in the hospital for hours due to the lack of staff and the large amount of patients. She had to get stitches and went home at about 5 am. The second she got home, she fell right asleep.
The rest of the pogues decided to go on with their mission and let Brooklynn sleep for a few hours. So far they melted down the gold and tried selling it at the pawn shop.
The pawn shop offered them 70k for the piece of melted gold. They didn't have that much money in cash so they gave the pogues an address to their warehouse (according to them) in which they had 70k in cash.
John B had the bright idea to disrupt Brooklynn from her very well-needed nap to go to the warehouse with them. She helped find the gold so he guessed she wanted to share some of the glory.
So Brooklynn was woken up by the horn of the Twinkie. Luckily her Dad was at work because if he wasn't, Brooklynn would be in big trouble for hanging out with the pogues.
Brooklynn was too tired to change last night so she was still wearing her outfit from the night before. She threw her sweaty hoodie off and pulled on a light blue halter top.
As she hopped into the back of the Twinkie, she was met with her friends' happy faces. JJ, Kiara and Pope were in the back while John B and Sarah sat in front.
"Hey, Brookie. How's the leg?" John B asked, referring to the wound she had received the previous night.
"It's good," Brooklynn shrugged, sitting down next to JJ.
"How'd it go at the hospital?" Pope asked as the Twinkie set off towards the warehouse.
"Not too bad," Brooklynn answered, gesturing to the stitches with a nod.
"Really? That looks like it hurts," JJ commented.
"It's good," Brooklynn repeated.
"That's what you always say," JJ said.
"Well, yeah. That's because it's the truth," Brooklynn retorted without meeting eyes with the Maybank boy.
"They seriously keep money out here?" Pope asked, looking out the window to see the endless amount of bushes surrounding them.
"That's what she said," JJ nodded, stopping himself a moment later to laugh at his own words, "Heh, that's what she said."
"Stop," Pope said immediately.
"You are such a child," Brooklynn chuckled.
"For real. Also, I've never even heard of Resurrection Drive," Sarah said.
"That's 'cause you're rich," JJ scoffed.
"You've never heard of it either," Kiara shot back, defending Sarah.
