SHELDON'S POV

"Wait... Is there something I'm missing from here...?" Missy questioned as she stared between me and Poppy. I couldn't even move an inch after saying something so horrendous like Poppy being my girlfriend.

Poppy stared at me with a grin, her cheeks were a soft red and that's when I felt the need to just... Walk away. I rushed back into the house, but of course I took my comic book from the ground before entering the house.

Hopefully, Missy doesn't bring it up during dinner time... She probably would, so I should think of a plan to avoid it...

TIME PASS BY

Dinner time came faster then expected, I quickly left my room as soon as Poppy entered, I didn't bother to look at her, nor did I bother to strike a conversation with her.

I head towards the dinner table and sat down on my usual spot, mom was placing the food on the table along side with the plates while dad was busy in the living room.

Georgie probably hasn't finished work with Meemaw, so his seat would be empty, and Missys probably up in her room hearing some horrible ferret singing boy band.

I begin telling myself to think of a way to strike a conversation during dinner, maybe if I spoke first and over talk Missy whenever she tries to talk, things would go as plan.

And I'll have a good night's sleep.

After mom placed down the plates and bowls of food, she then asked me to call down Poppy and Missy while she went and called dad.

I obeyed and went upstairs, heading to Missy's room first, I knocked on her door and she replied after a few seconds. "What!" I rolled my eyes at her roughness in tone and called out to her. "Dinners ready, mom asked you to come down."

"Coming!" she shouted back, I shook my head slightly, then made my way to my own room where Poppy was in, probably reading or taking a nap, who knows, of course I don't.

I knocked on the door before entering and noticed her writing something on my desk, she seems focused, but of course, dinner is important, and so I cleared my throat, and acted like any normal, intelligent human being would.

"dinner."

Poppy looked over at me and smiled. "Alright, I'll be down in a sec." I didn't bother to say anything else, my legs were shaking and so I quickly run out of the room.
