3. Love Can Kill

'That's what I saw in the fire' sandor told them 'Mountain Like an arrowhead' Sandor said pointing at the mountain ahead of them.

''Are you sure?' Jon questioned.

"It was weird, like he looked into the flames and Thoros was like look and see what I see! And of course, Sandor was grumbling about it," Rieka went on. "But he looked and-" Sandor put a hand over her mouth. Gendry chuckled. She was talkative and loud. Yep that must be the stark in her that he saw in Ari. But unlike Ari- Arya... who constantly was shouting at gendry when Rieka looked his way he couldnt help but feel a flutter in his chest. A heat in his cheeks. He felt seen with Rieka even among the flurry of snow.

"Yes, we are getting close.' Sandor confirmed. So they continued to walk on.

"You are a fire whisperer now? Is that what this is?" Rieka questioned.

"Shut up." Sandor begged, Gendry chuckled glancing to them. Rieka smiled back at him.

"You sound like your sister." Gendry remarked.

"Thats a good thing right?" Rieka questioned with a wink.

'That's a bear a big bear' Thoros remarked as they got closer.

'do bears have blue eyes like that?' jon questioned cautiously.

"He's pretty." Rieka offered. "But probably starving so best to move along." Rieka urged pushing Jon along.

'No bears I've ever met.' Beric said as its eyes seemed to glow among the flurry of snow. But it wasn't a bear or if it was it was mutated and large and it charged at them. They formed a circle and tried to fight it back, the beast kept charging towards them.

"I'm better at long distance!" Rieka shouted shaking her head as she fumbled for her arrows.

"You should have stayed home!" Jon demanded.

"Yeah well I'm stubborn!" Rieka agreed.

They drew their swords, beric, and thoros's sword on fire smashing it into the monster but that didn't stop it,. The bear now ran at them burning on fire and it kept moving and kept charging at them Sandor froze as the flaming beast got closer. Rieka pulled him back, sandor stumbled into her, transfixed by the flames.

"You good?" Rieka questioned as she helped him up.

"Why is it always fire?" Sandor grumbled getting to his feet.

They hit the bear, stabbing uselessly, they stabbed him but the beast would not go down it ripped into them tearing them apart. Getting on top of thoros it took a bite out of him, shaking him as he bit into him. Finally Jon stabbed a dragon glass into the bear and he collapsed to the ground. Beric pulled Thoros away pulling his clothes to see the damage.

"Gross." Rieka whispered peering over Beric's shoulder.

"Thanks, little wolf." Thoros murmured.

''we have to get him to east watch' jorah told him. Thoros shook his head.

''go on.' He said after a sip. Beric cauterized the wound with his burning blade. Thoros gripped Rieka's hand tight.

"Ow." Rieka said matter of factly.

"Fuck yes, ow." Thoros agreed.

''Are you alright?' beric asked instead.

''I just got bit by a big old dead bear' thoros responded with a pained laugh.

'You sure did.' Sandor agreed helping him up.

'And survived to tell the tale.''

"Lets keep moving so we all survive."  Rieka suggested.

"are we almost there yet?" Rieka questioned.

''You look cold sweetheart, I could warm ya up.' Tormund suggested waggling his eyebrows, sandor shot him a glare. Rieka loved big brother sandor, she pouted back at him. 

"are we almost there yet?" Rieka whined.

As they continued on their journey the mountain getting closer and closer to Sandor's vision, Tormund stopped them hearing something ahead, unnatural noises. they peered down to see the army of the dead walking their pace slow as their swords and boots dragged on the ground.

"are we almost-"

"Hush Rieka." Sandor corrected.

''Where's the rest of them?' jon questioned only seeing a dozen or so.

'We kill enough of them we are going to find out.' Tormund said grinning.

"Joy, can we wait until I get my bow out this time?" Rieka questioned pulling an arrow out and getting it nocked.

"Ready princess?" Gendry mused.

"Yes. Thank you." Rieka sassed back, Gendry smirked looking her over.

"Focus." Jon begged. "Ready? On my mark..."

They attacked the group of white walkers they were doing better against the white walkers than the white walker bear. They were fighting and fighting, they wouldn't go down but Jon killed the leader and the rest crumbled to nothing but ice except for one. one remained thrashing and screaming and kicking this would be the one they brought back to Kings Landing. this would be the one they gave to cersei to show her that this war needed to be stopped until the real enemy was killed.

It screamed and screamed so sandor put a hand over his mouth to silence him but part of its skin came off in his hand.

'Fuck' he screamed shaking off white walker goo. Rieka laughed out. "Come here-" Sandor extended a hand to wipe it on her.

"NO!" Rieka shrieked running to hide behind Jon when they heard the marching of approaching soldiers, more than this group they had taken down, and fast approaching.

"Rieka I want you go and-'

"I'm not leaving." Rieka sassed.

"Rieka-"

"NO! I'm not leaving you!" Rieka demanded. Jon grit his teeth but look to Gendry.

'Gendry you're the fastest go and tell queen daenarys what we found.' Jon said and Gendry turned to go, he glanced back at Jon and Rieka.

'I'll be back with reinforcements.' Gendry assured but he hesitated as Jon grabbed Rieka's arm.

"Rieka-" Jon begged.

"I love you, I'm not leaving you here to die." Rieka countered.

"Love can kill." Jon countered.

"Then we go down together."

"I don't like that option." Jon countered.

"Rieka," Gendry cut in. "I could use your help, you know the way better than I." Rieka sighed, knowing Gendry was right. Rieka hugged Jon and Sandor quickly.

"NO DYING!" She demanded pointing a finger between them before looking at Gendry. "Race ya!" And she was off.
