Oh, the tragedy of being a hopeless romantic.
Your heart yearns for the novel type of love; where your heart misses a step every time your lover laughs and butterflies errupt in you stomach at every touch.
There would've been no better way to describe Hwang Hyunhee, than as a hopeless romantic.
The female had just come back to Korea after a whole year of studying in Canada.
Of course, the first thing she did was visit her favorite spot along the Han river, stare into pure nothingness and daydream about all the lovely romances with fictional characters she never had.One thing she missed about Korea during her stay certainly was the summer warmth.
Not a single day passed without the female shivering in her hundred layers at least once as she complained about the lack of vitamin C.Now that she was back in Korea, she couldn't help but despise the painfully hot summer days.
I wish I was back in Canada.
She was forced to stop midways as she touched her raven hair, feeling the way it was litteraly going up in flames from behind.
Ouch!
The female hissed and took a mental note to never touch her head, especially after staying out in the sun for hours, again.
I need something to cool myself down.
There you go: Ice cream cravings.
Determinded, Hyunhee left the park and tried to remember the nearest place that sold the frozen treat. After rounding one last corner, she'd finally found the ice cream parlor she remembered that sold the best flavors.
All of that, of course, just to get a basic raspberry flavored scoop of tounge freezing dairy.
No one could've stopped the relieved sigh that escaped her lips the moment she ate her first spoon. Even after a whole year, it still tasted just the same.
I should take-
Hyunhee's heart dropped the moment she reached into her bag, just to feel nothing.
She froze midway, fear carefully settling in her stomach.Oh god.
Bag- nothing.
Her jean pockets- also nothing.
Literally everywhere she looked, Hyunhee couldn't find her cellphone.
Hot tears slowly gathered at the ridges of her eyes as she scratched the skin around her nails, hoping that it would help with the panick.
Oh my god , where is my-
Of course.
The park!
Hyunhee ran back towards the direction she had come from, hoping that her cellphone was still on the bench she sat on. A million, various types of scenarios and conclusions went through her mind as she feared the worst.
Clumsily, the female rounded the corner right to the entrance of the park when OOF-
The hard impact of a shoulder against her's caused the female to loose her footing and fall onto her knees.
"Oh my god! Are you okay?"
A pair of soft hands grasped Hyunhee's shoulders making the girl look up from the floor, precisely, abandon the sight of her bleeding knees.
She wasn't prepared for what was about to hit her next.
By any chance, it must've been the world's prettiest human being who carefully helped her get onto her feet again.
"Oh no, you're bleeding."
Hyunhee was frozen, quite literally, as she stared at the worried male, mouth slightly agape.
Whoa.
Butterflies, she felt thousands of them errupt in her stomach and boom- her heartbeat accelerated.
"I-"
"Sit down here, I'll be back!"
The ravenette wouldn't dare to complain about the way he just handled her even once, before the beautiful human being left.
All she did was subconsciously observe him as he rushed into the nearest store, just to come back out a few moments later, basic medical equipment in his hands."Let me help you."
"I-"
One could compare her facial expressions with the one's of a gaping fish.
Hyunhee watched from above as he kneeled down and cleaned the cuts, the urge to run her hand through his fluffy mullet undeniably strong.
Is this the moment where he asks for my hand and we marry and live happily ever after whith three k-
"There done."
And again, oh god.
The smile he gifted her, in her opinion, peasant and undeserving being, was just as beautiful and warm as the golden hour during a spring afternoon.
Her cheeks were covered in a heavy and rosy blush.Silently, the beautiful male with soft, dark brown eyes offered her a hand to help her stand up again.
"Does it still hurt when you stand up?"
"I-"
The tips of his ears felt hot as he put Hyunhee's ice cream back into her palm. He noticed her obvious staring.
"I'm Lee Felix."
"H-Hwang Hyunhee."
Felix's eyes formed small crescents at her reply.
What a sweet name.
Hyunhee was still dumbstruck as she tried to take in and carve into her mind as much of him as possible.
"I'm new in Korea. So please excuse me if I say anything wrong."
Felix scratched the area behind his neck, nervously, while all Hyunhee could think about was how perfect his korean was and how she'd still swoon over him even if he did a grammatical mistake.
"N-No you're perfect -"
The male smiled, a bit shy.
"I-I MEAN your Korean!"
Hyunhee had no clue on why exactly but still, a wide grin streched on her lips when Felix chuckled, appreciating her response.
"Do you come here often?",
the australian male kept the conversation flowing as he stuck his hands into his jeans pockets."Eeh, not so often."
Hyunhee blinked at the way his brows both rose slightly.
"I've been coming here regularly ever since I moved here. The area is pretty."
"U-huh.", she nodded at his remark about pretty.
What I'm seeing certainly is.
"Alright then, I'll go now. Who knows, maybe well see each other tomorrow again.", Felix tried subtly hint , "Have a nice day, Hyunhee."
Hyunhee could swear her name had never sounded this special, rolling off of someone else's tounge.
After, luckily, finding her phone that day, Hyunhee spent the rest of her time in the park with her mind occupied with one thought:
Lee Felix.
