"Oh em geee, look at how cute that is!"
Nara squealed excitedly, pointing at the baby Toothless figurine from the How to train your dragon trilogy.Seungmin chuckled at her antics, watching her pull out her wallet and give the staff a bill before she was handed a couple of darts.
"Watch me win the fuck out of this."
It had already been three weeks since Nara's confession on the rooftop, but the duo never talked about it again. Safe to say, Seungmin felt a lot better about his big and round glasses now and Nara was certainly less shameless when it came to her friendly flirting. The kiss she had left on his cheek was like a key that had opened another door in his heart.
He was amused, watching her focus so deeply on hitting the right targets.
If only she paid that much attention in school.
He snorted.
The male's arms were already full of the other plushies, ballons, sweets and other that Nara had won and bought from the Carnival. They had also been on a couple of rides together, explaining his ruffled hair."YAY!"
A loud shriek broke him from his trance and he watched her jump up and down happily, retrieving the figurine as if it was Excalibur itself.
"My life- I feel fulfilled. I can die a happy woman now."
Nara sighed smugly, putting her hands around his shoulder.
Inflating her chest and pushing her voice to be a few octaves lower, she leaned into him.
"In case you want me to win something for you as well, don't be afraid of asking my wee darlin'. I'm a manly man, I can do it.""Oh, really now?"
Seungmin shook his head, watching her grin at him.
"I do really want to know how you do that, though.""What?"
She stuffed her mouth with another handful of cotton candy, raising one eyebrow."Whenever you want something, you just...you just take it. No overthinking, no second thoughts or hesitation, you just go for it and end up getting what you want. I admire you for that."
Seungmin's brows furrowed."Hahhh, Seungmin-ssi, if there is one thing your old lady can tell you then it's this: There's certain things you also deserve in life. So if you feel like you want something, then just go for it. It's your right."
Nara shrugged, following Seungmin as they left the Carnival grounds and sat down on a bench a bit further away.
"You also deserve shit. You understand what I'm trynna say?"Seungmin hummed thoughtful her curious eyes and getting ready for his next question.
"But-"
"-Seungmin?"
A timid voice from behind interrupted him, making the duo turn around to look at the intruder.
The addressed male felt his throat clog up and his heart miss a beat. The hairs in his neck stood up as his vision zoomed into her form, standing infront of them shyly. It was her.
Her name left his lips in a breathy whisper.
"Can I talk to you, for a moment?"
"I-"
Seungmin was at loss for words, head whipping to Nara for confirmation.
"Are you fine if I leave early? We'll talk tomorrow, alright?"Nara was absolutely frozen, gulping before her eyes met the floor. She tried her best to mask her emotions before she looked at Seungmin, a smile that he didn't realise was sad stretching on her lips.
"R-Right. Go ahead.""You sure?"
He stood up swiftly."Yeah yeah, remember what I said? Go for it if you feel like it."
She smiled tiredly.
