i hope we can go back to that one August afternoon — the day you caught my eyes and curiosity.
i hope we can go back to that one September early morning — when i turned and saw you unexpectedly.
i hope we can go back to that one October midmorning — when you stayed at the gym and watched me dance.
i hope we can go back to that one November evening — when we stared at each other in the midst of the crowd like we have a chance.

we used to share so many eye contact
and have school interactions non-stop.
but now, we're not that connected anymore,
the invisible string that ties us doesn't glow like it used to before.

i hope i can go back and stop the time,
i hope i can go back to hold the line,
i hope we can just stay there,
i hope we can be the ones we were.
