I woke up with a groan and looked around. Where am I? Then I saw how small I was and realized that my life went backward until I was five. I frowned. Does this mean I have parents here? "Y/n, where are you?" A woman's voice called answering that question for me. "It's almost time for school!"

I made a face. Great, all the way back to kindergarten. Well, at least my name is the same. I got up off the grass and went inside. "I'm here," I said in a tiny voice. Ugh, I hated my voice back when I was this age and I still do.

My mom in this world beamed. "You looked so cute in your uniform." She knelt behind me and started brushing out my hair. "Now, I know this is your first day and first days can be scary but I know you'll make some friends."

That's when it hit me. God had made it so I was human right now which means I'm a hunter and...oh, crap. I'm going to see my parents die just like Zero. Why did he make my life exactly like Zero's? That wasn't the plan! I've already seen my parents die from cancer! I didn't need to see them die from a vampire too! I inhaled deeply. I have no choice now. At least that won't happen until I'm nine so I got four years with these parents. Maybe five since I'm not sure how old Zero was when his parents were killed by Shizuka Hio. hey, does she kill my parents too? I winced as my mother pulled my hair back and braided it. I guess I like it braided in this world too.

"Now you're ready for school. Dad already has the car started," Mom said and she took my hand. We went outside and she buckled me into my car seat. This is humiliating. I'm back into a baby seat. At least he didn't make me turn into a baby. I looked out the window and watched everything go by. Then grimaced when I saw us pull into a school parking lot. This is going to suck. Mom got out and unbuckled me. I slid to the ground and looked around nervously. See, I was a shy girl in school and still am. I only got my friends and boyfriend by them shoving themselves into my life.

"Good luck, Kiddo," Dad said as Mom got back in the car and they drove off.

Yeah, leave me to the sharks, I thought sourly. I saw kids who were my age lining up against a railing and I joined them. The boy in front of me had silvery blond hair and the one in front of him had the same thing. I froze. Zero and Ichiru. Now I just wish I knew which one was in front of me. The boy turned to me suddenly. He had lavender eyes which didn't help since they both had that color. "Hi, I'm Zero," he said.

I blinked. "H-hi," I stammered shyly. "I'm Y/n."

He smiled. "That's a pretty name." Then he elbowed his brother. "Ichiru, this is Y/n."

"Hi," Ichiru said.

"Hi," I returned.

"What's your last name?" Ichiru asked me.

I thought for a minute and realized my last name was the same too. My new parents have the same last name? Okay, now I think God just added another family to this world. "L/n," I replied.

Both their eyes widened. "You're family is the only family who is tied to ours!" Zero said.

My new family is what? I blushed. "So your l-last name is Kiryu?" I asked shyly even though I knew their last names already.

They nodded. "We're twins," Ichiru said.

I smiled a little. "I figured that out."

"How?"

"You look exactly like one another."

"Oh." They looked at each other. "No way, my hair's longer," Ichiru said.

I giggled. "Hmm, maybe a little but you still look alike."

"How? I'm taller," Zero said.

I was still giggling. "Not really," I said when I finally could stop. They were both smiling. "You're both about the same height."

"Do you have any siblings?" Ichiru asked.

I shook my head. "Sadly, I'm an only child." Not that I could handle what Zero is soon to go through.

"Would you like to be our friend?" They bother said at the exact same time. Then glared at each other.

Which just made me laugh. "I'd love to," I said when I could breathe.

The teacher called us in and we all took seats. Ichiru and Zero making me sit in between them. I made a face at them both and they grinned. The teacher started showing us how to do stuff and gave us hunter history lessons. I already knew the answers to the math and other stuff. Just not the hunter stuff. But while I stared at the quiz I felt the information slide into my head and I wrote down the answers. I saw Ichiru giving the paper a frustrated look. I poked him and he side-glanced at me. I tilted my paper a little and he started writing the answers. But we were slick about it and the teacher never even noticed. Zero did and he poked me to let him see. I did and smiled. This could work out.

When it was lunch the boys made me sit between them again. "Why do you guys keep making me sit between you?" I asked grumpily.

"Because we both want to sit next to you," Ichiru said. "I don't get how the teacher could expect us to answer all those questions when she barely told us anything."

"That was the point," I said picking up a fry. "She wanted to see how much we already knew."

"I only knew about half of them," Zero said.

"Me too," Ichiru said. "But I didn't want to fail the quiz."

Zero looked at me. "How did you know the answers to all of them?"

"My parents," I replied biting into my burger.

"That's good to know."

I blinked. "What do you mean?"

"Well, I keep thinking that you aren't from around here. That's all."

I froze and breathed slowly. "I'm not from this world," I said softly. "I was born in another world and died there. I just came alive here."

"Really? How old were you?" Ichiru asked.

"Seventeen," I muttered.

They both stared. "So you went back to being a five-year-old when you came to life here?" Zero asked.

I looked at them both in surprise. "Yes, and you believe me?"

"Yes," they chorused. "So your parents were just planted in this world," Zero added.

I nodded. "Apparently."

"Wow."

"Did you have a boyfriend there?" Ichiru asked.

I blushed. "Y-yes,' I stammered. "His name was Sabastian." I shut my eyes. Poor Sabastian and my friends, I thought, they've had to find out about my death by now

"Are you okay?" Zero asked seeing my change of expression.

I snapped my eyes open. "Yeah, just thinking about how sorry I am that my friends and Sabastian are grieving for me while I'm alive in another world." The bell rang and we all went to recess. Inchiru, Zero, and I played tag until it was time for class. After that, we waited for our parents to pick us up. My parents show up first. I turned to them. "Bye, you two. I'll see you tomorrow." They nodded and I let my mom buckle me into the stupid car seat. When we got home I ate dinner quickly and went to bed. Day one in a new world complete.
